As a fan of late 2nd gen Z28s, I think it looks mahvelous! Question though. On the Z28, that is bolted onto the hood. Would that be possible, did you do that and then bondo it? Either way, good job.

Yes it is bolted, glassed, and bondoed. Debateing on fabbing a go pedal switch because the actuator in the hood still works or just to fill in the air induction with glass and smooth it out so rain does'nt become trapped. Or if i wanted to get caried away i could plumb anywhere under the scoop back to the factory air box and have true cold air. But for now just for looks.

I think it looks pretty cool. Would it be possible for you to sand down the front some so that it ends even with the front of the car? I think once this gets painted it will look really sharp. It would be cool if you could make it functional too. Good work.

It is painted but with a $20 gun, the reason it looks like a different color in some shots is because it has'nt been wet sanded and buffed. Besides i royally screwed the final sand and i should have blocked it about 10 more times anyways its real ruff and will soon be coming back off for another go round this time with the right sanding equipment and paint gun.

Looking good.

Only two suggestions:
First - find a way to taper the front point of the scoop into the lines of the hood.

Second - Get a badgeless grille, the big round chrome mercury badge detracts from the sleek look your going for.

Keep up the good work. :)
