View Full Version : Trilogy kit For Sale

Finally will have the Trilogy kit FS in a couple weeks! Offering it up to the local guys first. Has about 20,000 miles on it all with the stock 3.4" pulley. I believe it is from a 03 car BMD0 calibration car, but will make sure. If you are going to put it in a 04 it would require the chip to be reburnt.

$4000 o.b.o

Talk about kicking a man when he is down. It is a nice offer but the funds to refinance are not there.

you do it right, and buy it new for $2k more. Makes ZERO sense buyin a used unit at this price. The $1500 offer wasnt insulting.

At least from new you have a guarentee...Sorry but im not tryin to knock this guys sale, but be reasonable.

Exactly, its only worth what the market will bear. CA housing in the central valley in 2005 550k 2k sqft home in 08 now 270-300k. BTW, if I didnt live in CA I would "seriously" consider:mad2:

I would have to hope that he is starting awefully high because i don't know him or how he treats his car and the fact that he got to have 20k miles of fun and is wanting to recoupe 2/3rds of his loss. He should start at half price and then it would be gone in two hrs or less. Maybe even by me.

T kit with 20k is barely used, remember OEM eatons in Fords have a 100k service interval.

This is a good deal, those with experiences with Trilogy kits are all saying it, that may speak to it being a good deal.

I can think of a CAM'er or two who could use this!

Is the kit complete, minus the retune for an 04?

The problem is that there are not many details on this particular kit. It could wind up having missing or damaged parts (I'm hoping it doesn't) or other issues. This is not a used supercharger coming from Jerry with a warranty.

Relative to what they've paid, sure. It's a different economy now, and the kit is used. For those with money, I'm sure they'd gladly pay the extra couple grand for a new kit with a warranty. For the rest of us, we have to take the gamble and try to save money when possible. Unfortunately, all things considered, I think the price is too high for a used supercharger and hopefully he'll come down to something within better reach of the rest of us.

Wonder what the "market will bear"?
If I win the Trilogy Twin Screw Raffle, my #132 kit will be for sale... I'd be interested to know what this one goes for then.

I think that all the parts included with this offer should be laid out, photographed and posted.

I feel this should be done with ALL used supercharger kits.

In this way, the collective experience and expertise on this site can help establish value by assisting with inventory and condition of the 'kit'.

This would help the inexperienced buyer who is 'taking a chance' understand what additional costs will be associated with the install and help that individual make a fair offer accordingly.

This practice would also prevent ill will toward the seller should the buyer feel 'slighted' based on the 'kit' contents.

It is impossible to arrive at these value establishing parameters otherwise.

I have seen this many times now and feel this is the BEST and most above-board way to conduct a transaction for such an 'item' with so many variables.

Please lay out the parts - the entire kit - as it is offered, photograph and post.
