I should be drinking Beer, but Im inventing things instead. :D
I have Barry's car over for a Vortech, and it currently had a single Ford GT Supercar fuel pump... marginal at best for anything over 10psi.

I had a dual pump bracket from years ago, but I never liked how it was constructed and always had fuel issues with it, so it was time to invent something new, and CHEAP!

Cant get anymore simple than this:

The 1st pump is mounted as usual, and the 2nd pump is rotated 180 degrees and clamped the the first pump. Orientation is important if you are gonna duplicate this!

I have a spare fuel tank here and test fitted this: Fits perfectly!
Whats easier and cheaper than 2 hose clamps? NOTHING!
I used submersible fuel line and retained the PRVV valve for easy starts.
Save yourself $700 bucks and go this route if you need more fuel.
I suggest using fuel sock part # FS 175 for the fuel pump on the stock location and the stock sock for the other pump because it has an offset pickup which aligns it perfectly in the basket.

...Glad to help :D

Amazing, I think you deserve to take a break and have a blue moon.

Looks good Zack. Was wondering, what's the most efficient way to access the fuel pump?

Zack:

Nice job on the dual pump setup. How do you compare the Focus SVT fuel pump with the Ford GT pump. I had it installed last August before seeing Lidio for his special tune and other works. I cannot find the flow numbers for the SVT vs. Ford GT pump can you put your hands on them?

Thanks,

Glenn :burnout:

Send me the setup and I will be the test mule.

How does the second pump tie into the first?

It is not clear in the pics where the additional line joins the stock one.

It looks like a 'Y' fitting.

Neat idea!
Do you think that there is a need for larger gauge wiring or an FPDM upgrade?

IIRC, the GT pump pumps 324 L/Hr .....AND at a reduced amp draw vs. the SVT/Focus pumps...the best of both worlds.

2nd pic you can see the Y-Fitting

That is why I asked. He just said 2 Hose Clamps.

I assumed the Hose

But... no mention of the "Y". No Part Number..... nada.

Damn Trade Secrets!!!

Zack,
What is the outside casing diameter of those 'GT' fuel pumps....I've got an idea of a little cleaner clamping system to hold them together.
I don't have one to measure, but I will be ordering one in the future.
(Now I might be ordering TWO....:D)

Ill measure them for you soon and get back to you.

Zack didn't you suggest changing the sock on these pumps too.
I think I remeber you saying something about that when I was putting my duals in...

Thanks for doing it first Zack. Cause I am going to do the exact same thing, just hose clamp them together. Now the wondering if its gonna fit is taken care of for me.

All I'm trying to figure out know is how to get bigger gauge wire thru the hat to each pump. Thinking of getting A BULKHEAD FITTING and some fuel resistant silicone filler.

Also you will need the FPDM mod done for this, correct?

The FPDM mod is required for sustained running of the pumps at max.

Although it doesnt hurt do to it by any means, this particular application is not necessary.
I have a modified FPDM at home if needed for this car.

As for getting more wires to the pump(s), I suggest picking up a junkyard hat, cutting around the factory wiring, then welding it onto the hat you are modifying.
If you know someone who can weld metal that thin safely, this is the way to do it
