Driverside window died on me Fri.. Won't go dwn. any suggestions? Thank goodness the little woman still does!!!
Brian,
My driver's window did the same thing in Seymour last year. Just gave the door panel a swift slap, Presto!, works fine since. Must be something loose.
Wouldn't recommend trying that on the little woman.

Well played! I've got nothing to add, though.

Try slamming the door while holding the button down. It worked on one of my doors windows.

If you can hear the motor running, its the regulator, if not, its a motor / connection / switch problem. Walk the cat back to figure out which, but none of the repairs are that involved. Get a book from the auto parts store and you'll be able to fix it.

The window switch is a common problem. It is probably the switch. The contacts burn and stop conducting. I took mine apart and filed and sanded the contacts and it has worked ok ever since.

I had this problem during hot weather the last two years. After an extended period in the sun/heat, first the driver's and then both the driver's and passenger's in the front were affected. They would not go down. Then after a day or two they would start working again. I finally took the door panels off and cleaned/lubed the tracks w/WD40. Removed the harness plug and sprayed it w/WD40 and then just for s**ts and giggles I sprayed everything else in the lower half of the inside of the door. Everything has been working fine since.
