Another Memorial Day invention!

I made this for Barry's car, because its a good idea, and the fact he lives almost 6 hours away, and I dont want him to have belt issues.

I didnt buy anything custom to do this, only a few nuts and some aluminum stock.

Parts used were a vortech alternator bracket, (I had them laying around) Aluminum stock, old belt tensioner (in working order) and an extra bolt/stud from timing cover.

Pics will explain everything. All belt slack is taken up with this setup

You will need to flip the tensioner pulley around, and get a bolt that will thread through the pulley, tensioner body and serve as a stud for the bracket. So far its rock solid and no belt issues!

I dont understand the question.

To clarify, the tensioner is not functional cause its reversed.
Its just a pulley 'holder' for this mod.

I thought the tensioner allowed tension to vary based on the load and belt condition? Perhpas that is not the case.

The Eatons have a much shorter belt.

An idler for that side helps keep the belt from jumping. Watch the belt on a dyno when the throttle is snapped shut and you'll see that the belt jumps all over the place in that section. When I had the ProCharger I made something a bit different but it had the same functionality.
