With 9K miles on the odom. I got 20.20 MPG on the highway @70-80mph over 450 mile trip.
This is an improvement from 19.10 MPG when I had 2K miles on the odom.

I have just over 3500 miles and the mpg continues to improve. 21 mpg average per tank city/highway.
Just checked 2 tankfuls on a recent trip. Averaged 24 mpg at speeds of around 73mph.

I got 24.5 MPG at 75-80 on two long trips, before Stage I.
After stage I have had mixed driving at 18-19. Haven't had a tank of extended hwy yet.

Consistantly 20mpg combined with 11,500 miles.

27 and a bit, all highway, around 65 mph with some stretches at 70. No cruise control, A/C on (was a real hot day), about 10 minutes worth of 45-50 mph down some back roads. Highway elevation / attitude is negligible because the whole run included the return trip down the same highway.

TripleTransAm those are some good numbers. As for me... around 20 highway and uhm....the bad news... 11-14 city

My mileage has dramatically improved over the last several hundred miles. Before I hit 2k miles, I was getting ~13mpg, mostly around town. The last couple of tanks produced ~18mpg, half city, half highway & I'm now at 2900 miles. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

Prior to programming : 23.7mpg Highway /all city driving 15.5mpg. After programming: 15.7 all city. have only a partial Hwy. figure of 21mpg but that included a solid hour stuck in bumper to bumper going to thru Orlando, Fl. So it seems programming has had no adverse effect on mpg.

Just got back from a 900 mile round trip to the Coast of Maine. Averaged 24 mpg/highway, a/c on, at 70-75 with 1600 miles on the clock when I got back. Am using Motorcraft 5W20 full synthetic and it ran great.
Still not crazy about the way it shifts.

I suppose I'm the only one so far that doesn't check mileage--I just refill when she gets low anywhere below full...not even going to check --it loves gas to much to be concerned..know it
loves it and so...ride with the fact it won't change my thoughts on it ...of course I'll know if it's using too much too soon--a sampe trial at times is taken via heavy foot at times--like checking the oil stick between changes...oh well...in other words--I don't check mind--might not really like what I would read numbers wise.....

Make that 2 of us...I've never checked...don't care. If I wanted fuel mileage...I would have bought a Hyundai......NOT!

I am not interested in mileage. I posted as a guide to see how my engine is running compared to others.
Mileage is an indicator that an engine is running correctly.
I also found it interesting that my mileage went up indicating that these engines do in fact have a high break in period.

That's precisely the reason I keep such a close eye on my cars' mileage. I noticed a significant drop in mileage on my GTA some 2 weeks before the intake manifold gaskets gave out, back in 1994. No other significant change in performance, other than the drop in mileage. I was not surprised when the gasket symptoms turned up, two weeks later. (I already had a small coolant leak but figured I could tough it out for another month or two until winter storage, etc...)

mercman - That mileage is about average. 2200 RPM seems to give the best mileage for a stock MM.:)
I get 15-17 mpg all the time. That is terrible in my mind.
With 2500 miles on the odo my mileage is getting worse. I drive like a normal, sane Marauder driver ;>).
I can't wait for a reprogram by Dennis at Ennis (Oooh, that rymes).

Just returned from a 7K trip to the Left Side, and averaged 25mpg. Usually ran 5-10 over speed limit, and times when I thought mileage would suck (grinding up and down mountains in National Parks), I averaged 24. Best was 26.5 in the high altitude country cruising at 75 - 80. Was using Mobil 1 0-30, but in Montana I found Mobil 1 0-20 and switched to that. So far I'm pleasantly surprised at the good mileage on a high performance sedan.

gohogs - Welcome to the MM site. That was very good mileage. On my first trip ( starting with 150 Miles on odometer) I averaged 24 MPG with the factory oil. Have 3 free oil changes an a case of motorcraft oil, after that I will probably switch to full synthetic.
