i bought a predator programmer from Diablo when i got my car used it and it worked fine. then i had to have the BCM replaced and now the predator wont work. according to diablosport it needs an update because it has an unrecognized Cal ID. my question to you wonderful folks here is, will the SCT Xcal work? does the Cal ID matter? i cant wait for DiaBLOW anylonger...:argue:

That's a common problem with Diablo...

Switch to SCT...You'll be glad you did...

I did...and would encourage all, to do the same...

and no CAL ID does not matter...as long as you can get back to your stock tune, before installing the SCT tune, you will be fine...

I'm wondering, because the diablosport has, in the original stock memory location, you cars cal ID and Vin or some such, when you changed the ECU it see's a different car. I guess Diablosport has to clear the old d ID stuff out so there's a place for your new ID stuff.

I am not so sure that SCT tuners (flashers, like X-Cal) don't work the same way.

I changed my old X-Cal with an updated one but forgot to reload my stock tune back in. Now the new xcal see's my upgraded tune as my OEM.

No problem since I'm supercharged now and would never go back to a stock tune. I'll have to check with the party I sold the old X-Cal to and find out if they have attempted a reload in their car.

Cobra 25; Scott is no longer with Diablosport? Is he an independent or working with another firm? He's a fine tuner from all the reports I've read on different forums.

Scott left Diablo quite awhile back and is tuning on his own!!:beer::bows:

He has made some changes to my Diablo tunes with GREAT success!!:bows:

I am a Diablo dealer as well as SCT, as far as I know there is no EEC update /reflash for a 04 all 04's are MAV2 but Diablo may not have the stratagy for MAV2, I would give rich a call he can explain whats involved and what he thinks about the conversion.

Jack, RZASABS is MAV2 there is nothing difficult about this file.
