Hey guys. I'm looking into moving to Chicago and need a place to keep the Marauder. I have a daily driver and just want a garage or even a public storage place that has garage type storage.

My friend used to keep his 'Vette at a Public Storage place and I had the same idea for the MM.

Since I only drive her on weekends and when it's not raining or snowing, I figure a PS would be good enough but I'd want a place that I can go in and out whenever.

I'll probably be living on the south side near 35th and LakeShore.

Any suggestions?

Thanks...
Danny

I work @ PS on the weekends...you may want to stop by and take a tour of their property. Ask about break ins, see if someone is living on the site, gate hours and surviellence. PLUS you will need a 10X20 roughly and in the DC area they are pricey! But if push comes to shove hopefully your job has a garage? Let us know how things work out.

You can keep it at my place. My dad owns the building I live in and rents out the garages. I do not know if anyone is renting the big one, but I haven't seen a car in there for months. I got my Marauder in there several times. If you want me to ask let me know. This is located in the Lincoln Park area by Webster and Magnolia, very safe area for your car and even better when in a garage.

Let me know.

You can leave it at my place...I'll even let you visit it from time to time, don't forget to leave the keys LOL! Welcome to the windy city...DOM's place is probably the best. Nice neighborhood...ritzy!

Yeah... Remember they "STOLE" his truck from in front of his place. Also, he was "WORRIED" that the same thing will happen to his Marauder! Parking to store a car is expensive here, try the local papers to see what the price are, usually $100 or more a month (depending on area), if there are some. Get to know the people you'll be living around, they'll point you in that direction. Just like in any major city if they want it they'll get it. Southside near 35th LSD good luck, parking alone is a B***H!

Why not look for a home/apartment that has a garage?

If it's in a garage, no one will know what's in there. What is with people always looking/bringing up the negative or the past, grow up... seriously.

Already have a place where I'll be living and there's no covered parking. On top of that, they also they limit how many cars you can have.

grow up... seriously.

From someone who have stated publicly that "They love their 1990 Chevy Blazer more than their parents, because they were not nice to me when I was growing up". You're lucky to live in a apartmentbuilding thats own by your "Father" and your "Father" purchased your Marauder for you! "My parents were not nice to me".

Put an ad on Craigslist, or in the vestibule of grocery stores.
Worked for me, I scored an enclosed garage for 30/month!

Public storage.
10 x 20; $229.00 per month...
10 x 30; $299.00 per month...

Insurance $8.00 for $2000
$12.00 for $3000
$20.00 for $5000

Check the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Suntimes, they usually have a listing in the for rent section. Sometimes the manager lives on site.
