I never in my worst nightmares ever thought I'd say $3.81 a gallon would be cheap, $4.39 for 93 here... but, its supply and demand, greed has absolutely nothing to do with it. My ass. :mad2:

Theres nothing wrong with the supply of BS. The DEMAND is there!!

Last summer when I would fill up the Marauder with 100 octane Sunoco unleaded race gas it was $6.89/gallon....
93 octane was about $2.89/gallon.
Last fill up with Sunoco GT100 cost $70.00 for 10 gallons...$7.00/gallon
It doesn't seem so bad to pay $7.00/gallon for race gas now that 93 octane is $4.25/gallon.

I stop at the first shell or Mobil I see, if I cared about gas prices I wouldn't have bought a 4000 pound car with a V8.

I filled last weekend, BP 93 about 16.5 gal, and it was $68. Also I agree with sd8683, I wouldn't have bought two tons, with a V8.
BTW I'm on my way out to do my weekly fill-up now.

I now keep the mph at 70 or less and have increased my mpg from 17.6 to 18.2 per gal average.

Thats great for the second generationers, however, 93 was $1.95 when I got on board four years ago. I have greatly curtailed my driving. We use the Passat 2.0T a lot more now. :(

I noticed today driving by a Conoco that they had 15 cent increments between grades. 87 octane was $3.87/gal, mid 89 octane was $4.02/gal and 91 octane was $4.17/gal. A station across the street and down a block had the same price on regular but the increment was the usual 10 cent between grades. I wonder Conoco is taking a stand they're hoping others will follow or that station owners is just a twit.

I've been limiting my fill-ups to 1/2 tank to try and keep the weight down. Don't know if this strategy works, but since I only drive about 20 miles per day I can still get about 1 week between fill-ups. It's also not as painful when I pay.

I don't drive my MM daily. After an all day long trip 2 weekends ago, I'm under a quarter tank. The last receipt from April says $3.55/gal. I am not looking forward to filling it today.:mad2:
The 800 mile trip to Carlisle this week is gonna hurt!
The only good news is the Marauder gets better mileage than my daily driver P71 CV. That only cost me $3.85/gal last night, $64 total.
I could buy an econobox to drive, but then I'd have to slit my wrists because driving would be no fun! And I bought the MM for the fun factor.
Peace out,
Michael

I'm not mad at the prices, I'm mad at the people for doing this...
Dennis, Gordon, gather your firearms and let's make the gas companies make some change or they will personally pay the ultimate price! :uzi:
I wish. :flamer:

Oh that so well said. I will agree with u on this one.
Hey, no matter how we look at it. Why complain, just pay and happy motoring!

My car is the lowest it's been in a while, and that's because I had to run it low so I could swap out my fuel pump. I'm sure my fill up will be about $55-70.

I just worked it out, With the discount for the gas I don't pay for, it saves the one who does pay 26 cents a US gallon.
Discounts and free gas are great.

91 octane 3/4 tank fill up today. I skipped adding gas in May, didn't go far enough. $5.2318 Canadian for a US gallon. Works out to ~ $5.14 US for a US gallon.
With my quicky carwash it was $83.13

Up here in Quebec, already over 6 $ a gallon for 91 octane . I'm wondering if we'll have to brew our beer to save on shipping cost ...!

I'm wondering about a Water Meth Windshield antifreeze injection system. Boosts the octane while using the 87 octane gas. Not sure how long it will last or what kind of tune it will require but it could be a solution to the gas Price. (not that I pay for my own gas, but...)
