OK, time for a poll. Who is gonna be at the Annual Safford L-M Car Show?

Suggest arriving at 9:00 AM or before to get a block of parking spaces locked down. Best part is NO registration fee, very nice goodie bags with dash plaques and T-Shirts, free food & drink & entertainment all day, and a bunch of door prizes throughout the day leading up to the big $1,000 cash prize at 3:00 PM. An '03-'04 MM has taken one of the plaques/trophies each year ... and if that darn '65 Marauder doesn't show up again .... we'll get two. ;) This is all FREE from Safford L-M.

I'll be there on 1 good leg, but with 2 cars -- both driven by someone other than me -- my wife in her car and my daughter in the red one! Have knee surgery on driving leg 10 June!

Don't worry your not the only one in that boat. I still haven't got my new hood shocks so my hood will stay close and let people wonder. Maybe that will be my ticket to winning an award lol.

Yeah it's a very laid back car show, plus all the free food and drinks you can scurf down.

Tom Doan made a nice entrance last year, out of no where we heard this loud eaton whine and everyone got real quiet and then here Tom pulls in lol.

Hi all,
Just an update about the show. According to the Sales Mgr at Safford, Andy Goldsmith, Nate Richardson of Pink's Automotive will be bringing his 6-second Mustang to the car show! Some of you may have heard of him and seen him on the various car TV shows. FWIW. IMHO, 6-sec down the track is one VERY QUICK pony!!!!!
The dealership will also be dedicating a new flag as part of June 14th Flag Day. They have a flag pole that is approx. 100' tall and it takes a VERY large american flag to look good!

He wanted to invite me to the show and make sure that I was coming this Saturday.
I told him "Absolutely!" and that the Marauder would be clean and shiny.
He said; "Why don't you bring the 427 Cobra!?"
I said that I would have to think about it...:hmmm:
Now that I know that DOOM is coming with his 'Trilogy Bling-Mobile' I might just bring the Cobra again.
It's got a lot of chrome on the FE BB and can compete against his engine!...
Twin Holley 600s vs.the polished Eaton blower...:D
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on the weather for Saturday and see.

I think the the show actually begins at 10 AM. Register early. Voting is continuous all day long as all the participants get to vote for the best in 3 categories ...... Lincoln, Mercury, and Marauder (3 votes). Some vote right away. Others wait until the last minute. The later you arrive ... the chances are that you will miss some votes.

If you bring the Thunderbird S/C, I don't think you fit neatly into any of the specified categories noted above. :( Neither did Joe's 427 Cobra last year; but that didn't stop people from asking about the car.

Had a great time at stafford and met some new cam members. Joe walsh that is one BADASS cobra bro. This was one of the best car shows i have ever attended. Free registration, food, drinks, icecream, and entertainment ALL FREE! And the best part was marauders had our own judging class. And there were more marauders there than any other vehicle.
