Driving down the highway behind an 18 wheeler, and a rock comes flying up and hits my windshield. Not a huge crack, but a starburst kind of thing about 2 inches across. Anybody have the PN for a FoMoCo 300A OEM windshield? I don't want to go with an aftermarket brand. I've had one of those in the past that had a sort of waviness to it, rather than being perfectly smooth like a factory replacement.

the part # for you Ross(sorry Brutha) but I've seen factory glass that had waves in it too. In fact, I have to look real hard to find it, but there's a slight wave in one spot of my MM windshield.

I know it's hard sometimes to avoid being stuck behind an 18 wheeler, I usally go zooming past it or stay way back until the opportunity arises to go zooming past it. Good luck !;)

that....dump trucks are even worse. I lost count of how many times I got in the middle of what seemed to be an avalanche of rocks flying off one of those things when they pull out on the highway. So I try to aviod them if at all possible......

Sorry to hear about your windshield, Ross. About a WEEK after I got my new Marauder, a small rock came from NOWHERE on a street I've driven everyday for years hit the center of my windshield and made a small impact crack.

Trying to decide on the 300A or the 300B windshield (I have the 300B). Anyone have the part numbers for both? And where was that picture someone once posted of the 300A factory-tinted windshield?

Ross - Make sure the new shield has the FORD logo on it.

NBC - I would go with the 300a windshield as it has a darker tint band on the top.IMHO.

Called the LM dealer where I have my oil changed. Talked to a nice guy in the parts department (the same one who is trying to locate grey floor mats, but that's another story). He looked and said that all he could find was a GM windshield. I explained the differences, and that there are 2 different MM windshields, so he's now trying to find out what in the world is going on. More later.

Sorry to hear about the windshield Ross. I've broken 2 windshields already... those trucks should be banned. I told the dealer that the insurance company will pay for the windshield (600 bucks). I came back to the dealership around a month later and they informed me that the insurance failed to pay for the windshield... im like ok...call them.. shes like.. " its ok the dealership already took the hit" I kindly told her that i'd like to settle this with the insurance company but she said it is too late. Unfortunate for the dealer, the lady was not educated in insurance claims... and lucky for me :)
