It was a great day for the Apple Valley Ford car show (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44614) (AVF)

A nice turnout of five Marauders and seven owners.

I had a chance to shoot a Rat Rod and play with a narrow depth of field and selective focusing.

Shallow depth of field and focus on the tire.

Shooting the reflection in the front headlight. How many Marauder drivers do you see?

Good stuff Jeremy! They are all nice, but I really like the shot zoomed in on the carbs. That's a cool shot.

Good examples of selective focus.

Thanks Barry! The lens is the 85mm f1.8. I think it is a great lens, fast AF, nice bokeh and reasonably priced.

That's ok, the girl on the right appears to have a bad case of elephantitis, but still possibly cute.Guys, this comment was made in reply to jdando's remark about his reflection in the bumper of that car making his legs look like those of an ostrich. I have since learned that the girl in that reflection that I made reference to, is crouse's daughter.

crouse, to you and especially your daughter, I apologize for my remarks. I was just trying to suggest that the distorted reflection had an effect on more than jeremy's legs in the picture. I used poor judgement in the choice of words that I used, and for that I feel bad.

Please let your daughter know that I am truly sorry for what I said.
