My powerslot rotors and Napa ceramix pads have arrived. I plan on installing them tomorrow. Is there anything abnormal other than the fact that my rear rotors are probably stuck due to rust that I should be aware of? I saw a tutorial a few months back with visuals on exactly how do do a brake job on a crown vic, Does anybody know where this is? I think it would be good to use it as a reference.

Also:When I flush the brakes which fluid should I use? How much of it will I need?
Thanks Guys,
Matt

I'd get about 1/2 gallon of fluid.

Remove the caliper mounting bolts.
Pull the calipers off.
Compress the piston back into the bore (use a big "C" clamp or tool you can buy at your FLAPS).
Make sure the master cylinder doesn't overflow.
Pull off the rotors.
Put new rotors on.
Load the calipers with the new pads.
Install calipers.
Remove all the old brake fluid from the master cylinder.
Pour new fluid into the master cylinder.
Bleed brakes as usual.

Should I use DOT 4 Fluid?

That's what I used when I put my new rotors/pads in.

Did you get any of the TCE lines? It would be a good time to change those as well, I think he has a few left!

Everything turned out great. New Rotors, pads and complete flush. Pedal Feels good and is getting better w/ every stop. The car really seems to have some good stopping power now. I was amazed of how puny the stock pads are, the rears have only 2/3 the surface area that actually comes into contact w/ the rotor that the new pads do!

How did you pull the rotors off? Weren't they "stuck?"

I used alot of WD-40 and a hammer. Thankfully, my rears fell right off because the guy who did my 4.10s had enough sense to coat my hubs w/ antisieze so it was pretty easy.
