Last night I went out to go see a band that was Rockabilly/Garage, plus close to my age and out of the 3 in the band 2 were girls. Well I really liked their music a lot and we hung out after the show. Some guy from another band who has a stupid amount of money from daddy showed up in his 1995 Rat Rod Dodge Ram... :shake: and decided to show it off. The guy also has a 1923 Ford T-Bucket, but knows nothing about these cars other than what's broken. :mad2:

Anyway after he leaves the girls and I are hanging out outside the venue and we all decide to get milk shakes. We all hop in the Marauder and I give it half throttle and everyone is screaming the same note. They were like "Whaaaaa-o this is like a roller coaster!" We talked, hung out at my place and played some 45s and I was actually asked for my phone number by the singer when I was trying to get hers. One of the last things she said was "I have been in some fast cars, some old cars and your's is the fastest most exciting car I have ever been in."

In a way this proves all of those bands that sing about cars talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. I don't know about where you are from, but most Rockabilly girls and guys here are all talk and even car stuff is a fashion statement, I think I was the first to prove to that band that we stand by what we sing about, we are the real thing. I guess that's what turned the girls on.

It was a fun night, but the Marauder made it that much better! :burnout:

Gooo000OOO...DOM! The 1923 Ford T-bucket sounds like a cool car, but by far I'm sure it's a combination of looks, charm, and style! Unless you slipped some x and spanish fly in her drink, that left her horny and confused! LOL!

I didn't touch her milk shake and the best part is she doesn't drink, which is a big turn on for me being that I don't either.

+1. Comments all the time. Had one guy in a freakin' Imp SS say how cool it was! I told him his was nice too, but he's like no way the Marauder will smoke my car.

My girlfriend isn't really into cars (though she drives a stick like a pro), and as such she almost finds it embarrassing when she has to drive the Marauder. It's because of the stares and comments. It just blows her away that people react the way they do to these cars.
And Dom, nice story. I appreciate that you kept it classy, too. Its a thread you could pretty much show the lady. She reads your comments and she'll like you that much more for the gentleman you are.

my EX girlfriend didn't like my car... she liked my 2000 Ford Ranger Off Road Package better... and she told me I would miss not having a truck... which i do... but whenever she rides with me, I get on it and get that motor going, and look at her and tell her "I still don't miss the Ranger"... Other than her, I always get looks from the ladies as they drive by or I drive by them... Definitely a looker of a car

My lady loves the MM. I work nights, she would wait until I went to bed and than take my MM to work rather than drive her Mercury Cougar. We ended up buying her an '04 DTR MM. I've been trying to convince her to buy a daily driver to save on gas and keep the miles low on her MM, she says No becuase if we had a third car she would never drive it since she has the MM.

Don't worry about it man, I wasn't happy with the weather either. The Brat Stop was great though and by the time we were out it was sunny. We were there for a while! See you soon.
