So, i'm putzing along the highway at 80 or so, and the OD light starts flashing, then off, then flashing again for a few minutes. I took OD off when I got a little slower in speed, and it turned off, then started again.:mad2:

Any ideas?

Have you been shifting your car manually?

Im only telling you this cause it happened to me:

If a fragment/metal shaving falls onto the resistor that measures trans temp, it can short circuit the resistor and throw a code.

Most always the shaving comes right off and all is well again, but it may need time to fall down.
Pull the code (there is one there even though the CEL is not on)
If it is a trans temp out of range, this is most likely the problem.

Car has 35k on it, just got it in October. Haven't done any tranny flushes yet. Shifts like a champ, only mod to the tranny was (if you can call it that) shift point change/shift hardness via SCT. Other than that it has the full Kooks, full exhaust, JLT, 4.10's, blah blah.

I've had the same issue. I believe it's the manual shifter position sensor meaning the shifter is possibly out of adjustment. It should reset when engine is turned off and back on but probably will come back again if no adjustment is made.
