After going to Carlisle and seeing the stance that the widened rims gives i've got to have a set. I want to keep my original rims so that puts me in the market for a set of rims that are already widened. Let me know if anyone is interested in selling theirs. Thank you.

When I curbed one of my widened wheels, I located a replacement and had it sent to Weldcraft Wheels to be widened.

You can get them through Trilogy. I found it to be less expensive than sourcing them myself.

How do you order them through Trilogy? What is the final price after shipping? Can they move the lip to the outside of the rim or does it have to stay on the inside of the rim? If it was on the outside it would look schweeet

Just give them a call.

Wheel is widened by inserting a section in the middle of the wheel. The outer wheel edge stays in same location, but moves the inside edge of the wheel towards the car's frame. Some have changed shocks to gain clearance. The wheel's edge itself does not get altered.

I have my stock rear wheels with nearly-new BFG 245/55/18s that I will trade straight-up for a pair of widened wheels with no tires if anyone is interested.

Hmm, what a fantastic idea!

No one around here seems to follow this simple route. Alls you gotta do is pick up the phone.

Fellows - these widened wheels are not cheap! But, they really do help with a SC engine. I am running 295x45x18 Nitto street tires with widened rims and you need them to help control all the power.

Glenn's right, these wouldn't really benefit an N/A MM unless you had virtually every bolt on, just make it look meaner. Don't forget they will be heavier, so it would take more to push them, and you'll be running bigger tires.

If your blown Merc is like mine, the engines can still dish out more than the 295s can handle.
