".........Sad Reincarnation of the Maurader......."

Spoken by "Twin Blonds" who probably still drive a pair of Morris Minors with the "Flaming-Gay" Light-Blue Bottoms and White Tops, but are considering flirting with the new Morris Mini, in the same "Flaming" Colors. Had trouble spelling MGM backwards, but wrote an article on the MM?

If they had driven a Kenny Brown, or a Dennis Rienhart Version with all of the Performance Upgrades, and took the time to check out the fact that current Discounts and Competitive Dealer Pricing have these High-Performance Machines now closer to $30 K, they'd have written a much different article. Just need to consider the "Source". :o :o :o

For My money, it's still true today: "MERCURY - THE ULTIMATE DOMESTIC LUXURY / PERFORMANCE DRIVING MACHINE AVAILABLE TODAY, FOR UNDER $35,000.00!"

;)

Yep - One and the Same!

In spite of the fact that Gore implied during the Campaign that HE "invented" the Internet, we all know that they don't refer to most things related to it as: "WWW", without good reason!

Just hope that George wasn't refering to his Neice Noelle, when he used that Term of Distiction. (If Jeb goes down in flames though, he may!)

On a more serious Note, I read in the Business Section of the Indy News Paper today, about the sad state of affairs that Ford Motor Company is having to deal with these days on the Bottom Line Numbers, as another Quarterly Loss, Credit Downgrade, and Further Declining Sales of their Domestic Cars serve to drive Investors' comfidence to the basement. Shares traded for $31.40 in October or '99, and closed at $8.26 yesterday!

In the past Five Quarters, Ford has lost more than 1 Billion-2 Hundred and Seventy-Six Million Dollars, yet they still went ahead on the Production of our beloved MM, and sent us all that luxurious Leather Coat!

As in the case of the Original SS and MM Models, some of us may be smart to purchase one of the new Models with Traction Control, put it in "Moth Balls" for a couple of years, and see if we don't beat both the Stock Market and Bond Market, for the return on our Investment.

As in the case of the '69 and '70 Models, unless the Mercury Division can offset the current loss in Sales of more than 24,000 Units through the first Nine Months of this year, we all may hear the "PLOCK" Sound of a Giant Plug being pulled.

Just in the Wrong Place, at the Wrong Times?

Grab yourself a Piece of History...........Grab yourself a MERCURY!

("MM", that is.)

"Strength and Courage" out there in the Car Market!

  :( ;)
