I wrote a very detail posting that didnt go up because I lost my internet connection when I went to post. Something wrong with computer so I'll sum it up quickly before I loose it again.

For those of you following my previous posts over the past couple of days, here is the conclusion:

Went to push her on the street last night for the tow truck to take to the dealer, Started right up as if she knew just where she was going if she didnt.
Perfect idle this time, fans on from the start now though. For those unfamiliar, can get the whole story from my post " I F@#$#% up bad". Check Engine light on. "Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor High Output".

Marauding4life sends me previous post of where that is located and where the 2 temp. sensors on the crossbar are.

Clean Cylinder Head sensor, no more light.

Look at 2 crossbar sensors, one on passenger side of alternator is BROKE !!!

Clip on part lost plastic snap piece, water moved right in on it. Didnt notice them until last night because I was working on car from drivers side in garage because it rained all weekend in Chicago!

Dried it, Plugged it back in, Car back to normal.

To all you future first timers like me with engine cleaning, dont only make sure everythings covered, make sure ALL your sensors are clipped correctly alnog with anything else that may clip together also.

Gentlemen, Thank You for all your help.

Marauding4life, your a life saver to say the least.

Glad there was a positive outcome. I cleaned my engine numerous times and never had a issue but your threads were making me think twice. Use less pressure next time!!

Some people use hoses and pressure washers, that's just scary to me. I do it the slow and old way. Strong oven cleaner or diluted Simple Green sprayed on the dirty parts, wire brass brush and old toothbrush used for scrubbing and a spray bottle with hot water in it. I just work on a section at a time and dry each section after working on it.

My MM loves when I have my hands all over her engine lol.
