Finally got the gears installed (www.bigwoodracing.com (http://www.bigwoodracing.com)) and tune (Lidio). Definitely wakes up the car and makes it more fun to drive. It's hard to tell to what extent it really makes until the weather cools off (been in triple digits now for 4 days).

JLT is next (I have it, I just haven't installed it). I swore I was going to stop after tune, gears, JLT ... but now I am thinking exhaust, pulleys, etc.

The JLT intake is so easy to install. I put mine on in 30 minutes and I was going really slow taking my time to make sure everything lined up perfectly. I bought Lidio's tune also and I love it.

I know that the pulleys reduce parasitic drag and theoretically free up hp, but what difference did you guys notice with the pulleys?

By the way ... fastblackmerc ... should I get the pulleys professionally installed ... or is it an easy bolt-on.

The pulleys help the performance a lot. My car picked up aET at the drag strip using them. They are cheap power!

Does the installation of the pulleys require re-tuning? Or is it as simple as bolt and go?

Any DRAW BACKS....?

should I get the pulleys professionally installed ... or is it an easy bolt-on.It's an easy bolt-on as long as you have a torque wrench and can read and follow simple instructions.

Does the installation of the pulleys require re-tuning? Or is it as simple as bolt and go?No retuning necessary.

Any DRAW BACKS....?The alternator charge is slightly lowered at idle, so if you have a mondo stereo that you like to play at ricer volume while sitting at stoplights for long periods at night, then you may have an issue, but it's easily solved by raising the idle-in-drive speed by 100 RPM or so.

Congrats on getting the mods installed. Welcome to the dark side!;)

I drove my car for about a month before getting the pulleys installed, noticed a difference in responsiveness after install, also, the engine spools up much faster in mid-range. Go for it.

Oh, and you may want to check out either a Stewart's water pump or an electric WP, either will get some some additional HP.

Once you get the mod bug, it only gets worse!
