I'm gonna be getting some kooks headers soon and obviously the set comes with magnaflow mufflers but I also have a set of super 44's, I want a nice throaty rumble sound for my exhaust, so what mufflers do you guys think I should go with to get that sound?
Thanks for your opinions in advance.

Are you getting the full set from Reinhart?
Here are two clips (1 (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/../showcase/misc.php?do=downloadfile&i=11638), 2 (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/../showcase/misc.php?do=downloadfile&i=12298)) of mine with Borla ProXS [straight-through] mufflers and the resonated tips (plus some other goodies). You might want to consider the style of muffler (e.g., chambered, packed, turbo, straight-through, etc.) instead of brand as design determines the sound.
Clarification: There are obviously other contributing factors (e.g., headers, cats, pipe diameter, etc.).

With your Kooks setup I would recommend Flowmaster Delta 50's. Just my $.02;)

Sean did you end up selling the 44's? If so, why did you list them again? You've heard what my car sounds like, if you like it, get the 44's then. Actually, I've heard the stock muffler's sound awesome with Kooks on them. Dennis has that setup, not sure what his car sounds like though.

Yup I still have em, nobody wanted them so I just kept them, I think I'm gonna go with the 44's with the headers instead of the magnaflows, its probably gonna be ungodly loud with my 4 inch delete tips but I like ungodly loud

I just got my KOOKS installed a week ago. I DO NOT recommend the Magniflows. I had the whole kit headers - high flow cats- X pipe and Magniflow mufflers. They are just TOO muffled for my taste. So I ordered Spin Techs. They are getting installed Tuesday Morning.
I would definitely go with the Super 44's over the Magnaflows..

Magnaflows are too quiet for me (no headers in my Marauder, though). Flowmasters are louder. I have the Delta 40s, but they used to make an even louder one that I was going to replace them with. I think they were simply called, non-Deltaflow, "40-series." Does anyone know which of their current product line-up is THE loudest? Oh, I just checked their site. I guess the "Super 44s" are their loudest, current offering. Plus, they're ALREADY black!!! Anyone tried 'em? How do they compare with the 40-series Deltaflows? Are they noticably louder and "throatier," with more-promounced, low-frequncy response?
One last thing . . . I definitely plan on getting the Flowmaster Super 44s now. There's a lot of 44 variations available! Which one should I get? I guess I'll go with a new 2.5" H or X pipe while I'm at it. Then, I have that pipe issue over the rear-end I want to replace. Should I go 2.5" there as well? So, 2.5" in/out—is that what most are doing? Thanks for any advice or comments!

Hey Network Shooter...you have a PM....
Left my Marauder with a local shop (Four T's, California, Maryland) while I was on vacation last week (Avon, NC... Outer Banks, gotta love it!!). I had the Magnaflows I bought from Sean and the 4:10's I bought from Keith installed along with oil change, transmission flush. For the exhaust, I had them delete the second set of cats, preserve the H-pipe and leave the stock tips on. I must say that the sound is exactly what I was looking for... not obnoxiously loud, but ith a nice rumble at idle and on normal takeoff. It really announced itself at WOT. Again, exactly the effect I was looking for. Thanks to all who advised on the setup!
Oh, you can really tell the difference with the 4:10s. I have to load Lidios 4:10/93 Octane tune this evening.
The dead pedal I bought from Ron came in today too, so I have a project. I think I might be able to tackle this one myself.
next mod... Pioneer AVIC F90BT when they come in. John has my deposit.
