You supply the fan blade.
Brand new in box Motorcraft fan motor and shroud, I only needed the blade, mine was cracked. P/N RF163. I bet most people don't need the blade, but the motor/shroud, instead. If that's you, this will suite you fine. Put your blade on it, and you are good to go. The blade is easy to remove with a screw driver. Just tap the screw driver with a wrench, until clip comes off.
My MM started over heating yesterday, and making a jack-hammer noise. I found out my blade had a crack in it, and was hitting the shroud, making the hideous, aforementioned noise, slowing the fan down and overheating motor.
The unit is a BRAND NEW Motorcraft replacement part (OEM Ford supplier). I paid $250 for it. Send me $180 paypal, postal money order, or check plus half the actual shipping cost and it's yours.
I couldn't find the blade locally separately, so I had to buy the whole unit. This is a great way to inexpensively replace your fan assy, because Ford dealerships are charging $437 for the same thing, plus 3 hours to install. It takes 10 minutes with an 8mm socket wrench!!! You DO NOT have to disconnect any cooling lines, either :-D
I hope someone gets good use out of this. Take care friends, and happy motoring.

If you can replace it yourself go for it! I ended up having the stealership do it and was handed a $650 (around that) bill for the repair.

Where did you get it for $250?

I don't need one but a source of finding OEM parts cheaper would be nice.

thanks.

Sorry,

I forgot to subscribe, and missed the replies.

Buy the fan at a Motorcraft supplier for $250. Google 'Motorcraft', go to their website, and look for 'nearest dealer'. We have a big time one in Brighton MA, and they had it in stock ;)

Raudy baby!!!

Man, I can't tell you how much I miss hanging out around here. Just been so busy. 'You gotta pay if you want to play', you know that, my friend...:)

HS! Did I read correctly? You are now SC? HS!!! I can't believe it, that's totally awesome. Congratulations. Taken it to the strip? I'm so happy for you.

I'm sorry I'm going to miss SD's cookout this weekend. It's my 15th wedding anniversary, and I made plans before :bigcry:

Hope you all have a blast. Let's do NE dragway later this season?

Some of us just looked in here to see what all of the interest was about.

I mean... 15 replies and 575 views on a fan? Something had to be going on.

Thanks Jack. I appreciate your interest. I'm hoping for someone who actually needs it. They will be willing to pay more than 20 cents/ dollar and still feel like they got a great deal. I plan on doing some modding this summer, so I need to find the right buyer. Take care,

I saw your post and respectfully decline your offer for the $25 I'll probably clear after shipping this large package to you. I paid ten times that amount...

You admit you don't need it, and are bidding accordingly. I want to sell it to someone who actually needs it, and will make a reasonable offer. But thanks!

I didn't even think about the shroud being worth anything, I recently took a shroud, motor, and controller to the dump after taking the fan blade off to replace my broken one.

A foo born every day I guess. You can buy them brand new and complete on ebay for around $130. Sure, they're aftermarket but it won't be long until that's all you can get, just like the headlights.

Nope, complete lack of self control. You ought to thank me, I could have pointed that out way earlier in the thread instead of after you made the sale. You can send me the commission via paypal.
