Black MM on the hot rod power tour(Ames,IA)

I just got off the phone with my 13 year old son. He told me that a 03 black 300a with really dark tint, IL plates, and a air freshener with the middle finger, is on the tour. Is this anyone here?

I really wanted to stop by and check it out, but ended up with way too much going on at work and after work. I was originally hoping to get out of work early, get the car out, and cruise up there. I have a number of friends doing the whole trip and a couple that just did the Lincoln, NE to Ames, IA portion.

They were running a purplish blue/white Pontiac Tempest, Grand National, and black Pontiac G8. Good group of guys. Would have been nice to check out all of the out of state cars and some of the GM cars including the G8 with the GM crate 427 that I saw pictures of.

Yea it was me. Im still with the cruise in rochester, mn. Today was perfect for the shot. Went to leave and some guy in an old nova stopped, put his car in reverse and did a burnout right into the marauder! Didnt hit it hard and no dents. Small chip in the pain. Guy got out of his car and started yelling at me. Then yelled at the even orginizers who had him boxed in so he couldnt leave. Then the cops showed up and the guy yelled at the cop. Guy was a complete dick to say the lease. His 5 year old son wasnt wearing a seatbelt and was climbing all over the car while it was running. Cop had fun yelling at the guy about that. Tomorrow is madison, Wi...should be a blast.

I got to Rochester around 5:00 pm. Looked for your Marauder but didn't see it. I met my my friend Russ, who has a red 69 Chevelle. Russ and I walked around and I took some pics. Mostly GM products. I'll post some pics back on the Twin Cities Marauders forum.

I think I would just get so mad I'd have a stroke. Even thinking about it makes me sick. I am glad you are safe and that the car is for the most part okay. We will have to get the midwest people together soon. :)

I got to Ames kinda late, about 4pm, and parked in the area where the Cherry Bomb display was. Right behind me was a black Marauder but no driver nearby. I waited and showed off my car and by 5pm the other car was gone...

oh man how did i miss the prorauder? I was the one right infront of the cherry bomb trailer...Some guy in Rochester said he saw the prorauder at a hotel.

I saw all kinds of old school muscle cars cruising up and down I-39 this weekend on my trip to grandma's house in Fond Du Lac WI to collect my girls due to the flooding up there. I-80 was closed and they were detouring up through Cedar Falls / Waterloo, but hearing TMF talking about the flooding up there I just stayed out of IA altogether. Lotta corn under water right now, but it was good to see people still out enjoying themselves.

You're forgiven.. It was probably due to the crowds around it that you couldn't see it. (LOL!)

But myself and the F.O.C.R.S. had a great time in the college bars. We went to a place called Sips and saw way too many hot 20-something girls. One came over to our table and started asking about our cars. I guess I had too many to drink (me? no!) and I asked her if her mom was hot...

We closed that bar.

well in my defense of being away from the car in ames, i won a $399 petty driving experience from edelbrock :)

Thursday night in Rochester, MN was amazing, Hot Rod put all the sponsered hotels in a small area, needless to say about 200 people standing on the street got to see the road turn black with tons of rubber. Some left by the marauder lol. Tons of muscle cars doing burnouts, a biker doing stunts and some ricers trying to do burnouts...CRX did one hell of a burnout but tryed a 2nd time, bye bye clutchy :lol:. Mercedes E55 did one hell of a burnout and a full drag car did a wheelie down the street(was awesome). Cops drove by and waved. After about 4 hours show was over and the cops asked us to stop. No tickets and one hell of a show!
