Dayum...Guys...
It did it again...
Went sideways, and almost took out a new Audi TT, I was trying to beat to the freeway merge...Don't those things have AWD...
The road was just a little wet (no rain) ...Sooooo, I line up next to a new Audi (he has the lane I want)...
Light turns green, and I can tell he is not going to let me get in front of him...so I decide I will give him a little, just a little, taste of some Marauder Magic...Well...
I step on it, a lttle, not enough to get into boost though, cause I KNOW it would break the rear loose.
The road is a slow right bend to the merge...So, I'm leaning on it, trying to keep the rear end planted...Then it happens...
I feel the rears break loose...I get off the throttle...and sideways I go...Rearend jumped to the left, a good 50* degrees...Then I feel the tires hook...and the rear end jumps to the right, into the lane where the Audi is/was...At that moment I thought I was going to nail his friont end, with my tail...But NO crash!!! The tires hook again, and the rear jumps again to the left...still off the throttle...So I give it (throttle) a little tap...It staightens out and gives me a little wiggle, as if to let me know she's (my MM) giggling at my stupid pride...:shake:
I look back and see the Audi had dropped back and saw the whole thing...
Well I got the lane, and merged in front of him...:D
That was my coffee for this morning...It really got my blood going for a moment...:P
WHAT A RIDE!!!

You cannot be taking corners under throttle like that with an auto. It senses the extra load of accelerating through a corner and downshifts. Its instantaneous sideways. Autos suck and shouldn't be used outside of a straight line. Also note: If you happen to have this occur again but you DO hit someone, their lawyer will likely be looking for a history of this sort of thing. And here it is, all laid out for them on the Marauder forum. Not trying to bring you down, just down to earth. Its two tons of steel with 400hp. You don't need the headaches of killing someone.

Treadwear is what you need to look for, the lower the number the stickier.

I took a spin as well but not under power, just pushing the tires beyond what they can hold. Onebadlse was behind me and saw a cloud of smoke and my passenger side doors. Lucky for me there was only dirt and grass on either side of me and nothing hard to hit if I went off the road.
I made a quick recovery and now take the turns a bit slower now.
If I had boost and gased it, I would have been picking grass out of my fender wells for weeks!

Thanks again guys...for your support
Yeah, these things happen when you saddle a different animal...and then test its limits... :bows:
It's important for me to know, just about, where that limit is for mine and my family's safety...not to mention the safety of others as well... ;)
And for you Mr. Master...
Despite the fact that your post sounds very condecsending from this side of the computer...I will refrain from such judgement, and interpret your sentiments as being intended to help...out of concern...Rather than to demean...out of arrogance...
Having said that...I thank you for your concern...and wish you well also...(handshake) :)
Be safe everyone...and I will be also...
