chill out zack the last i knew dates where tossed around for small meets not ordered by one guy. Besides some of us have to work or have familly obligations and still show the respect of letting others know that we can't make it. Besides its impossible to accomidate everyone no matter the date. No one is trying to s**t in your cheerios. Just trying to see what works best for everybody. Peace.

Its been like this for 5 years running.
Peruse the other regional forums and you will find they have a schedule for meets in place or commit to spur of the moment meets far easier than the Windy City group.
And the date in question is NOT being ordered by me. Dominick always gets the idea out there, and then not a soul can pick a date. I pick a date almost everytime and its never the right one. :shake:
I dont have kids or godsons or any of that.
My life will ALWAYS be open to fun, wherever and whenever it may be. :beer:

The reason for this meet is to see an O.G. members (TooManyFords) and the rest. As Zack stated above it shouldn't be this hard. If you have to watch the little ones bring'em, if you got a BD party go earlier in the day or show up late. After the SNAFU from Dell Rhae's we should have learned. TMF says the 19th is good for him lets accommodate him. Yeah... we all have family duties that need to be done, but aren't we a family too? It was the spirit and camaraderie that the Windy City Marauders started. Our meets set the tempo for others to follow. So far we put ourselves on “BLAST”, lets not do this again! TMF it’s your call.

It's really NOT my call! I am just saying that I'll be there over that weekend. I've booked a complete car/engine detailing with Jason in New Zurich on the 16th and then to Joliet 17th-20th. I can make whatever meet happens to be that weekend.
All I was suggesting is that to make it more than just a 1hr meet,greet & eat is to hang out at Route 66 Raceway one of those days. Thursdays are just check-in, and some T&T for the big boys and that's always fun to watch.
But please, don't everyone change all the plans just for me. Those that want to meet up with the regular crew should be there on the 12th, regardless of who can or can't show. Then, if you want some racing action and hang out, see me on the following Thurs.-Sun.
Wednesday night I'll have a very clean, polished 'Scaring the "White Off Rice"' ProRauder in town to have some fun. Pick a place for dinner and we can eat then too!

The front door is on 183rd Street, but the parking lot is on the back of the building, as well as a back door :D
If the lot closest to the building is full, another lot is about 50 yards further south and can be accessed through the alleyway.

Just FYI: If you are planning to come to Joliet this weekend, my plans changed a bit. I will be there Wed night through Friday afternoon. I have to come home earlier than planned and will be leaving the NMRA show around 4pm.
I wanted to stay the entire 4 days but now it just ain't gonna happen.
Now, if anyone wants to meet for dinner Tues-Thurs evening, I will be in West Zurich Tues evening and Joliet the rest.

Anyway, looking at the map, I was wondering the best way to get there if I was heading south/east on I-294. Best exit, route from the exit, etc. Not familiar with that area. As a matter of fact, whenever I've been in the area, I was just passing through along I-294 (or 80/294, as it were).

Regret to say, but I can't make it now. I have to be in Crystal Lake early tomorrow afternoon, and I can't be getting chicken and going there with the times allotted... Grrr! Me want chicken, damn it!! I can't do all that driving right now.. Well, if I drove at top speed it wouldn't be a problem considering time, but driving at top speed poses other interesting conundrums. I'll have to catch y'all another time.

Just found out night school resumes the week of aug. 18 on tues. nights from 6-9. So i should have no problem with 7/29.
