I went and looked at a 2003 Marauder today. When I called about it dealer said "I can make you a great deal" Turns out his great deal was not so great. They said best price was 32,500.00 Then they could subtract the rebate money that would bring it down to around 29,000.00 I am thinking this is not that great of a deal. I know this car has been at this dealer 6 months should I just wait for the 2004's to come out and try and make a better deal on it? Or are there any other dealers in the southeast that will make a deal on one of these cars? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most around here are saying don't pay above $28K right now. The truth is these cars aren't selling well at all, and you are holding all the cards as the buyer.
I went to carbuyingtips.com and learned exactly what the dealer paid for the car and followed their instructions to make an offer and the dealer went for it immediately.
I would say go in and offer them $27K - maybe even $26.5K. If you get it across that you know exactly what the car is worth on the market today they can't talk you up on price much. Heck, you can find 10 of these with 3K or so miles on them for 22-24K easily.
Unless this dealer has been very lucky with MM sales, (which would be rare) they are deperate to make the sale.
Hope this helps,

Papabear,
You're probably looking at a dealer who is hoping you don't know about all the incentives out there. Unfortunately, dealers aren't likely to work very hard to give you the "very" best deal you can get ... more often than not they'll try the highest deal that they expect you'll still buy.
Duhtroll is right. You should expect to see them around $27k-28k. Be sure to ask for a six year loan, zero percent financing, etc. and have them run the numbers for you. See which structured deal makes sense financially for you or saves more money in the long run.
Private message me about which dealers you've visited and maybe I can give you some scoop about them.
Also, ask jtayl76 about what he got for his MM. He bought it in March after it sat at his dealers for a long time. Also he's a service manager for a FLM dealer up in Springfield, Tenn.

Papabear, you can buy mine. Just like usual, as soon as I get her perfect I usually get bored and sell/trade her. I'm in sw florida and she has 9025 miles on her. see my sig for mods. would sell her for $24,000 and can arrange financing if needed as I work at a dealership.

Mad1 - A MM at 27 or 28 K includes rebates. You can't get rebates and 0% financing.

True dat. That's why I said he should check which of two was a better deal for his particular financial situation.
Sorry for your confusion.
