I just fixed my car with the help my very frustrated g/f and someone who was fixing my dads place when I get a call from a buddy of mine. He said he set up a race for me against a second generation Firebird. I throw the BFG Drag Radials in the trunk and headed south. I get there and he tells me to cut the engine before I even stop just as I roll up... the other people heard the supercharger, I told them it was a fanbelt and my g/f was playing dumb asking what a supercharger is. (she helped me put it on last time I had to change the belt.) So we get the race locked in and I get to use the slicks, but the Firebird gets 5 and the bust. (Five car length headstart and as soon as he takes off the race has begun.) I put the tires on and they tell me to keep them in the trunk. I showed that I still had the full size spare and had to put my street tires in there.... they wanted to me race with 3 full size tires and the jack in the trunk! My buddy said "No worry's, this is easy money." As he started laughing like a bad guy.

We get to the spot and my buddy who called me is the guy who was going to race... yes he raced my car. He did a burnout, the other guy took his place and it was off. My buddy won the race by half a car, but I he told me he was keeping him there to invite his friends back later. :D

After our little bet the guy wanted to race me but he wanted 6 and the bust and it was just for kicks. I was fine with it. I set it up and got him by 10 car lengths... he told me he shifted into neutral.

Anyway we had fun that almost turned into trouble, but we all got out just fine... I'll share that part of the story for those who ask about it, but forgive me if it takes a few days to get back to you as I will be leaving town tomorrow morning. It was a blast killing pony cars with this power couch and with 3 full size tires in the trunk... I'll never forget this night.

NOTICE: The racing was done in a loading area away from public traffic that has no one around after 10pm because the semi truck drivers are done for the day. No one was in harms way.
