I'm having my kooks installed soon and I'm thinking of going with an h-pipe instead of the x-pipe, I like the nice rumble of the
h-pipe, so where can I get a good one? I haven't done any research yet but I figured I'd get all the info I need from all you knowledgable gents on the mm.net.
Thanks, Sean

No one here has an H pipe unless they have stock exhaust.
I, however have true duals on my hot rod Marauder and love it.

All these threads I've read about people putting h-pipes in instead of x-pipes I didn't realize they were just keeping the stock h-pipe

The stock h pipe has four cats affixed and is a wimpy 2" in diameter.

Well in that case I'm gonna stick with the x-pipe unless I can find an aftermarket
h-pipe somewhere

Any good exhaust shop should be able to make one for you.

Exactly.

Or you can go with any aftermarket crossover pipe for a Mustang and have it modified to fit. Thats how I got the 3" Prochamber on my car.

Is there any performance difference between the H or X pipe?

The X-pipe supposedly flows a bit better at high RPM's and some have gotten a few extra HP but the high pitched sound and drone drove me nuts......so I had Bryan Jones (Grand Muffler) build me a custom H-pipe and I love it!!:bows:

I have some audio clips if someone can post them up.....email me and I'll send them??

Ha

Except I can't only post that so I have to say I like the H better too.

I have a custom H-pipe (shown here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/2/7/5/exhaust-midpipes.jpg)) and as do many other owners.
