Does anyone know anything about the DiabloSport Predator Tuner?
I've looked it up on the internet, that gives some general information. It seems to have some nice features, and easy upgradability is one.
Someone told me though that the Diablo programming in the tuner isn't all that reliable, and has been known to "scramble" PCMs.

joflewbyu2,
I see you have been talking with Nick Spinelli also. I have been calling him to get updates on when the Predator was going to be available for our MMs so I could get one for my shop to test it out on my MM.
He just can't seem to commit to a date, but the website used to say "Late July", but they have removed that. I guess they meant to say "Late July 2004....." He is only the sales manager, and I don't expect him to be able to be EXACT on a release date, but I would like a better estimate than "sometime soon".
Here is a link to it: http://www.diablosport.com/ford.html
I let Nick know about this website the first time I talked to him about 6 months ago, but I don't think he ever came out to see how much MM performance mods were wanted by the owners.
I've kept quiet about the Predator on the site, just hoping to get my hands on it before everyone found out about it and give it a good beating!
Let us know if you hear anything new!

The whole "Tuner Thing" sounds pretty interesting....but I don't know if I am really superconfident about me entering in all those changes or mods myself...as opposed to having a professionaly tuned Flash or chip.....
I would however like to hear about it once someone uses it and can actually comment on the ease of use....

I think that the Superchips Micro Tuner gives you the option to either down load their program as is or select the option to modify some of the parameters depending on you particular application, ie: tire ratio change/gears/fuel curve, ect.
Anyone else on this subject ?

For the MM, i understand the Superchips Micro Tuner does not as yet allow for those adjustments

Really? I am very interested in this capability and I've been searching for a live monitoring package that doesn't require the use of my laptop OTR. Please tell me yiu are sure about this feature? I don't really need the rest of the features you outline here, but I may come to play with them a bit. This feature will sell me on a Predator!

SergntMac,
The features that were listed are exactly what I am being told about the Predator also. I have been on a list with DiabloSport for quite a while now for this product. I have told Nick with DiabloSport that I am ready to order a few of them, but he keeps telling me that they are not ready yet and that he doesn't have a shipping date.
Hopefully Nick will keep me in mind to be one of the first shops to get their hands on one so that I can let everyone here know how it does.
I also told Nick that I wanted to get one BEFORE I go to the Autofair in Charlotte because I thought that I could convince a lot of the other MM owners to purchase one.
Oh well....Just have to wait and see.
I'll try to call Nick again in a little bit. I haven't called him about it in a couple of weeks.

I just talked to DiabloSport again. Nick is not in until Thursday. The guy I talked to asked someone else about the Predator for the MM and they said they STILL do not have a release date for it yet.

Butch, I live near them. So if they need a local tester to speed things up, I'd be willing to let them use my car. Just pm me thursday when you talk to Nick.

Ok. I'll let Nick know.
I don't know what the holdup exactly is. I haven't been able to talk to one of the developers directly to see what kind of issues they are running into. I'll press Nick a little harder this week to see if we can get some straight answers, or at least someone other than "sales" to talk to about the product.
