It just plugs into the port under your dash and then you upload the selected tune. Lidio will usually supply you with 3 different tunes to choose from according to gear ratio and octane level....Easy shmeezy.

They will probably need to know your computer code which is located on the left side of the dash when you open the door. Also whether you have a 300A or 300B.

I have a lidio tune in my MM and I highly reccomend it, it really wakes up the car especially with 4:10 gears! And its as easy as it gets as far as installing it, there's a plug right under the dash, you just plug it in and follow the flash tuners instructions, that's it, oh and lidio is a vendor here on the site, look for (alternative auto) Dennis Reinhart also does a pretty good tune from what I hear, (Reinhart auto) hope this helps you out and welcome to the site!

You would pick 3.55 gears and then specify an octane level...usually 87, 91, or 93. I wouldn't go below 91 though as that is the minimum premium gas available.

I just bought a X3 tuner and tunes from Lidio. He wont do 87 or 89 octane tunes, only 91 and 93. Rick

Just remember that going WOT at night will dim the headlights noticeably, as the alternator shuts off during WOT. Scared the crap outta me the first time it happened!

Also, if you plan to go Trilogy in the future, I'd suggest getting that tune now. I originally got a 91, a 93, and a Trilogy tune.

Or you could get a tune with different gears if you plan on going that route.

Plan your purchases and it'll save you money in the end.

Do You Have To Turn Off Over Drive After U You Tune Your Car

It has nothing to do with having a tune, or not. You turn off the OD when going to WOT at speed to prevent a 4-2 downshift at high torque. OD uses a band, rather than gears, to transmit power, which band cannot withstand high torque as well. So turning off the OD helps prevent premature transmission repairs. I got into the habit of always turning off OD just prior to romping on it, regardless of initial speed, just to keep it simple. Once up to speed and no longer pounding the tranny with shifts, I put the OD back on and cruise.

I got a tune from Dennis, pretty good tune, but regardless the tune is very easy to install.

Ok the two best mods in my opinion are the XCal and JLT CAI. I love Lidio's tune. Shifts just right and WOT is NICE! Combine the two and some 4.10 to really wake up that beast within. Dont wait on the xcal its the best SOTP mod.
