For those of you that put HIDs in your fogs.

How did you retain the bulb into the housing? An H1 style usually fits into a holder of some sort, which ours uses. The only way I can see of making the HID bulb stay in the housing is to use a dremel tool and hollow out the adapter and use it as a retainer of sorts.

Also, I've heard people talk about removing the center shield that covers the bulb. Yay or nay?

I glued mine in with black high temp silicon.
Works fine a year later.;)

I actually revised my search and found a thread on both questions. And both answers were as I had thought. Time to do some wiring and break out the dremel.

Yup, had to put some RTV to seal it.

Well, after some serious mods the fogs are in and work perfect. MAN they're bright. Now...the headlights are another issue all together. I've read ever post on here and tried every suggestion with no results. My high and low beams are still reversed. :(

High beams are over-rated.

Same problem with mine when I first got them.
Called seller and found that they had been mis-wired.
After geting the correct wiring sequence they have worked fine.:)

BTW, my RTV silicon idea came from Raudemaster although he prolly won't remeber it.:D

Well, after about an hour of checking voltage I realized that it was just ME who thought they were wrong. I had a friend stand a good distance from the car while I flashed the lights and he seemed to think they were working correctly. Because of the way the bulb moves in and out and changed the way the light reflects, it just looked to me as if they were wrong.

All I can say is WOW!! These things are BRIGHT!! With the fogs they're unreal.
