Hey guys...I am new to the site and have a strange question. I bought a totaled 03 Marauder with 4600 miles on it. I pulled the motor and tranny and front wiring harness with the plans of swapping it into a Fox coupe ( I hope this doesn't offend anyone here). I also have since purchased a used eaton from a 03 Cobra.

My question is, has anyone here done the Cobra blower swap and if so, is there a thread on it I can read? I realize I am in for a lot of work here, but I think the end result will be pretty cool.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

I'll check around and let you know if I find it, by the way you spelled Marauder wrong on your user name.

IMO blown 32v 4.6 is a pretty cool mod for a Fox and one engine combo you don't see too often.

You're going to have issues though, as the Marauder front cover and accessory drive is slightly different from a Cobra's. The snout on the eaton will not clear the Marauder stuff. Trilogy uses the same Eaton core but with a longer snout to make it work on Marauder's.

One big thing is the alternator placement, which is moved even on a trilogy install. On a Marauder it cannot go to the Cobra's location (bottom left) due to hitting the frame. This may not be an issue on a Fox, so you mgiht be able to use front cover parts for an '03/'04 cobra.

To put it plainly the cobra blower swap for a Marauder is EXTREMELY difficult, I only know of one done and it was a full cobra motor swap and took ALOT to get done. For Marauder's its best to just get a Trilogy kit for an Eaton blower solution.

But since the motor is going into a Fox, you may want to research how others have done the swap in Foxes as the fitment and placement issues will differ than what you hear from Marauder-land.

Cheaper to buy a Non-IC Blower. C Reinhart June Specials.

That sounds like plenty of fab work too since it's going into a fox now way to tell if the marauder inlet piping would fit. room may be tight w/ a 32v 4.6 in a Fox

I have seen two Fox's with the 03 Cobra motors in them...So I know it can be done. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me (I still need to find the coupe..I have a hatch now with a 347 and a 150 shot on it.) I like my hatch, but if I am going to do all this work I would like to do it in a coupe. I am also still gathering parts for the blower and wondering if I should keep the auto or switch to a T56.

My suspicion is that with the auto you may have more tuning issues to work out especially since it's tuned to run on a heavier car (Marauder).
