Can anyone give me the part number for the plastic tray that clamps under the oil filter for controling oil spilage when changing the filter?
Seems the local shop did not reinstall mine when they changed my leaking rack and pinion steering unit last week.
Was under the car changing the oil and got to the filter and no tray.:(
My garage floor thanks you in advance.:)

remote oil filter :D

Paul, there was a lot of hand wringing and discussion about how to go about it, where to locate the remote, which connectors/hoses, and which one to buy from which supplier. It ended up with us giving up. Want to re-visit the project? :)

Paul,
I can sell you 1 or 2 CHEAP, like $25 each instead of $45 that I got from Summit but never had the nerve to in stall. I did get the oil drain deflectors installed and got them to work with jacking the pass. side and using alum.foil as well.
I'm in NMB, SC right now, but I will be home on July 8th and could mail to you at that time. Let me know.

I wish that were the only oil I had to worry about spilling. My garage floor will get slicked down w/ 10 qts of transmission fluid pretty frequently so a few drops won't hurt it
