Hi all!

Great site you all have here and just the same as the Ford Truck site I frequent, it's quite clear that it's the members that make the site what it is.

I've been lurking about off and on for quite some time and figured it was time to join as the day draws nearer that I have one of these magnificent beasts of my own.

I currently own a 2001 SC/SB 4x4 Super Duty with the 6.8L V10. I hope to be able to keep the Super Duty but I do need something more affordable to drive. Though it's ot exactly an economical car, the Marauder will still give me the best of all worlds.

I've had my eye on the MM since before it went into production and I'm bound and determined to own one. In fact, I've already been pre-approved and should be getting a blank check from the bank early next week.

I see a couple here for sale I like and if they're still available, I might just be able to keep one of 'em in the family???

Vehicles I've owned:

01' Super Duty V10 4x4 (Borla headers, Borla exhaust, K&N, and SCT)
'97 F150 XLT 4x4 4.6L
'90 Mercury Cougar 3.8L
'85 T-Bird Turbo Coupe 2.3L Turbo (of course)
'80 Granada I6
'77 Lincoln Mark V 460 c.i.
'79 F150 4x2 302 c.i.
'67 LTD 390 c.i.

Thanks Bradley

I could very well be interested. Any more details on it?

I did do a Carfax on one at Luxury Auto Exchange in Alsip that indicated airbag deployment and rear end collision. If it's the same one, I would have to pass.

By all means "pull up a chair" and welcome. You'll find that those Marauder seats are pretty comfortable. Here's hoping you'll be sitting in yours real soon. :burnout:

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the site.

BTW, I like the design of the 67 LTD/Galaxie.

Welcome aboard! I really like your choice in vehicles! You would love the MM. I'm starting to look for a vintage full size Ford myself. I'm most interested in the years 65 to 71 with a big block like a 390, 428, 429. I really like the look of them and the engines. Jon

Thanks all! And thanks for the invite John. I do hope to meet up with some of you and if anyone stumbles across a MM in Great Lakes area that needs a good home, I'm still in the market. I've been looking hard and watching a few but holding out for one that meet my criteria.

Criteria amounts to:

Black
No dents, dings or accident history
Heated seats
Under 55k miles
Under $18,000
and i would really love to have a sun roof :D

Might be asking a lot but i'm not in a major hurry either.

BTW John, I love what you've done with your Merc and if you all decide to head to Martin, let me know, I'm there!

And good luck to you jonroe finding that vintage Ford. I'm kind of partial to the '66 Galaxie. Among most other Fords (and Mercs of course) of that same era too.

I'm thinking about going to see the Marauder in Alsip. What can you guys tell me about it? Why is the price so low? I know it's been in an accident and all...but is that enough to bring the price down so low?
