MM.Net Menu Bar has Changed

I see that the top menu bar has changed and added several "new" entries including the Members List. :D

However, an irritating old problem has cropped up with this change. Now the header menu bar shows "New Posts". I never used the new posts button or link because posts disappear after you read them. What happened to the "Today's Posts" button? At least you could still see the entries for the posts that you had read if you wanted to go back to them. Now they just disappear after you read them and you can't find 'em unless someone posts something "new" to it. If someone makes a new thread, it will not appear on your screen using the "New Posts" button because it thinks that you have already read it. Please change it back to "Today's Posts" or add it as an option.

This problem was corrected about 2 years ago .... It's Baaaaack. :(

You can find "Today's Posts" in the pull down window for "Quick Links".

I too liked having Today's Post out on the options bar.

Doug upgraded the website last night. I too find "Today's Posts" handy in the Navigation Bar. I will ask him to swap "New" and "Today's."

With the scope of the update we did if the only change that is noticed is the nav bar - thats a big success

I like the upgrade to 3.7.x. Now we just need to have the individual photo albums and customize profile color tags turned on under the User CP.

And someone still needs to sort the smilies so the wide ones are in the same column.

I cannot find the link that lets me edit My Garage in the "Preferences" or in the "User Control Panel". :o

Also noticed that the "Buddy List" is changed to be a "Friends and Social Group Roster". :rolleyes: Sounds kinda PC to me. :rofl:

I was looking for the market place type thing, where there is pictures of the item and a place to comment and ask questions.

I have seen it a couple of times, can't really figure out what to call it. Can not ever get to it without really searching.

What is it proper name and where is it? Also if it something for the long run could it be easier to get to?

I think thats a permissions thing

It may take Mary a few days to get used to all the new options and set the permissions the way she wants

Yep, got that 3 or 4 times yesterday. I figured that someone was tinkering with the software.

yesterday morning the weekly server backup was running and it caused the load to go higher than usual for longer than usual

We will need to upgrade the OS on the server this year - at the same time we will get faster disks which will prevent that problem
