I dropped off my girlfriend and her friend in downtown Chicago this morning and as they exited from the front passenger door and back right door some woman opened my back left door and I believe put her foot in. She qucikly got out and closed the door in discuss before I could say anything and she didn't slam it either. I don't know why someone thought I was a taxi because the car was clean and all and I don't ever recall seeing a black taxi in this city, but I did hear of one silver Marauder taxi.

Weird, funny, yet understandable to the average person. ;)

I was parked in my car with my girlfriend waiting for our chinese food to be done. We were in a plaza and a guy comes out of the chinese place (my car is right in front on the place) and noone is parked next to me, but the guy is walking really close to my car... I turned to talk to my girlfriend and all of a sudden I hear my door latch click and the guy had the door open all the way before I said "hi"... scared the sh** outta him... he thought my car was his and my windows aren't tinted so I don't know how he didn't see us sitting there... it was pretty funny though!

I been hailed twice since owning the car but never had someone dare try to open the door. My crown vic gets hailed quite often especially since its hot and humid and I have the A/C going in my car.

I've had this happen to me a while ago... Last summer, maybe? I was sitting at the train station in Downers Grove, waiting for my friend's train to come in. Some guy walks up and tries to open the door. It was locked so he couldn't, but he was knocking on the glass wanting to be let in. I waved him off, and he took a few seconds to realize I wasn't a taxi.

You know if you could seal the original paint up right, you could do a latex paint job and just peel it off after an event.

For those in large population centers, haven't we all? I remember I once was driving to pick up my dad who was waiting in a coffee shop in the recent month or so after getting my MM, and after I drove around a rotary looking for the place I saw him sitting in the window and blew my horn once and waved my hand to him to call to him, but this mother and two restless children came up with a little cart of laundry and tried opening my door and motioning for me to open my trunk.

She must have been distracted by exhaustion though cause it took her a min or two for her to understand that I was waving her off and saying I'm not a cab, and the worst part is that my pop didn't even come out, as he though I was just another cab getting a fare, and took some honking and waving to get him to notice me again. If I could I would have got out and got him but our city's traffic police are notorious A**holes, and the last thing I needed was a ticket.
