Las Vegas Meet

Hey Vegas Marauders lets get together for a meet. On August 1st there is the 1st Midnight Mayhem of the summer, I think we should all go out to dinner then head on over and do some drag racing. Any sugestions of alternatives are appriciated, I haven't seen another Marauder for months!!!

My wife and I visited Vegas in May. Stayed at the Luxor. Only there for one night (not gamblers) but we did have a blast. Continued the rest of out trip to Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and Yosemite. Great city you've got there. Fun, clean, and warm! Hope you guys have fun.

I'm not interested in racing my Marauder, but I might go along as a spectator.

No big deal if you don't want to race the MM. It would still be a good chance to meet some of the other MM owners in LV. Since we see so few of them in town (maybe 6 or 7 total in LV) if we could get 4 or 5 of us together it would be a huge turn out. Maybe we could talk LVMarauder in to a ride in a SC MM (LV I don't want to through you under the bus here but I for one have never seen a SC MM in person let alone rode in one).

B.C. I just got done with school a month ago so Im back for good. And Yes I took a 03 Cobra blower and got it to fit on my ride with alot of custom work. I'd be happy to show you guys the setup at the meet.

I am down for Sonic but maybe a little earlier, the line is HUGE and I want to race. Besides we will have sunlight tell 8 anyway.

Well Shnikees, When I posted that information was not available. But I am still confuesed as the link to the Aug 1 Mid Mayhem still states that:

"The popular late-night program is open to any street-legal car or motorcycle. All vehicles undergo a safety inspection before they are allowed to race on LVMS' quarter-mile drag strip. Alcohol is not allowed and beer is not sold at the track during Midnight Mayhem.

Entry fee is $10 to race and $5 admission for spectators.

Every Midnight Mayhem Presented By MetroPCS includes a car show, DJs and midway attractions. For more information, please call The Strip at LVMS' office at (702) 632-8213 or visit www.LVMS.com."

It may be an organized event in addition to public racing.... I will call tomrrow and find out the skinny on the 1st. Im itching to see what this blower pulls. If we reschedule O well. the 8th is only a week away. Thanks for bringing that to my attention huey.

Keep me posted I am in. I won't be able to be out in N LV untill around 7pm ( I get off at 6 and have to go home to feed the dogs) but I will meet at sonic or at the track depending on the time.

I know Im the one that started the thread but I will not be able to make it due to serious issues resulting from my blower. I will be lucky if my car can even drive. I REALLY wanted to drag it and meet with you guys , my apologies.

Sorry to hear the issues.
If we can still get 4 MM out to one place at one time it is a big deal. I think there are only 8 MMs in town so a 50% show up rate for all the MMs in town is not too bad.

I am still in if anyone else will show. So let me know I dont want to go to NLV for Burger at Sonic.

Mr car is being returned to NA trim, so far no engine damage. With a little luck it may be done by Friday morning.

We can always do a regular planned get together at a monthly interval, or what ever suits us. Just something to think about.

I'm in Los Angeles and if I didn't have company in town for the next week or two a road trip to Vegas for the weekend would so totally rock!

Since I'm in Cali, I haven't gone the blower route but I was also thinking of the 03 cobra blower at some point as I've seen a few for sale on E-bay...I'm not positive but I think one went for 2500 or so and said it was new in the box with everything needed for the install...just pondering that route but it sounds like you've had serious problems with it.

Mine just has a Lidio tune and CAI with the Eiback springs up front. I actually thought while I was here in cali I'd try to set it up for land speed racing until I got serious and looked into what a removeable roll cage and plumbing fire bottles and a chute would entail. The record at El Mirage for a production NA sub 5 liter car is a mere 186mph and I think with a little tweeking and longer gears a Marauder could blow that away...

anyways...do tell about the cobra blower issues when you can...

Scott (blackhueys) had the SC car with a Trilogy setup. We all oooh'd and aaah'd over it, but tried not to show too much envy. Scott left early, but the rest of us hung out til quarter to 11. Almost past my bedtime! My wife and I will be looking forward to the next meet.

thats it next time I am not going to say anything and keep my hood closed lol. Can't wait till this friday for the test and tune at the strip. Hopefully I will be able to make it and see what the trilogy can do hope I dont scare any ricers lol. Nice to meet everyone.
