Like every good story this begins with... SO there I was just minding my own business. I'm headed to the grocery store in my MM, talking on the phone, in my police officer uniform coming home from work. Then I hear what sounds like a angry bee behind me.... I look in the rear view and see a mid 90's Dodge neon. (I've seen this car before and even stopped it for traffic violations.) Now my windows are tinted fairly dark so I guess the kid driving couldn't see me. He revs a couple more times and the light turns green. We both make a left turn and head down the street. He follows me into the grocery store parking lot and down the isle. I park and start to get out when I hear the angry bee motor reving behind me again. I make sure to take my time getting out thinking this guy is just driving by and that there is no way he is going to sit behind me and ask for trouble. sure enough as I roll out of my car I look right at him and he starts to say " Hey man, you wanna raaaaacccc....... crap." The color drained from his face and we had a nice chat about his driving habits and how drag racing is for the track and not the street. In the end, we parted ways, me laughing and shaking my head, and him with a new found respect for LEO's and thier personal cars.
That was fun. I'll have to remember to keep an eye on him in the future...

Probably the same thing or just waved him off. I carry my badge and sidearm everywhere with me. I can't very well write tickets and enforce laws on duty that I wouldn't abide by off duty. It's some crazy thing I like to call ethics....
Lets not spin this into a LEO thing...

A mid-90's Dodge Neon? That wouldn't be much of a race would it? Sure it wasn't an SRT-4?

I know a guy who raced a Ghost car.
He lost, the race and his license, and the other guy, who told me the story then peed in his seat.

Its a 90's neon, I'm pretty sure of it. Next time I see it I'll run the plates and double check. I'm guessing he has some sort of boost on it either that or he has a bunch of useless guage pods in the a pillar. It sounds like crap and he has aftermarket head and tail lights. Not very impressive over all.
