:(Last wweek I used Turtle Wax Ice on my silver 04 MM like I have been doing for 3 years. I live in a rural area of Putnam County NY. I park in the same place for 4 years and the MM is a looker. But last week i iced the MM and a few hours later I noticed about 50-60 yellowjacks on the hood, deck and roof of the car,and they looked like they were sucking or eating, they were very still untill I went near the MM. I went to work (in my Elantra) and the next AM the same thing. I park my Elantra next to the MM and my Escort all together and only the MM has the yellowjacks. There are some oak and maple trees above the cars and that is why I constantly wax and wash and ice the mm. Yesterday I hosed off the bugs and went to work and this morning the MM was full of them. I then washed the MM with my Mr Clean auto wash system (always used it) and then waxed the car with an 2 year old can of regular paste turtle wax. I parked it in the same place, and get this--NO YELLOWJACKS. What gives? My wife says the Ice smells sweet and that is why, but why did i just start to have this problem after 3.5 years/// Any comments. (this should be my worst problem):help:

Your wife is most likely correct. Perhaps the yellow jackets just took up residence in your yard. I've had to errdicate different nests/species over the years. The ground ones are the worst, mean nastly little bastages. You can have them, I'm deathly allergic after having been stung 4 times in one season. Its straight to the ER for me now.
