Ok, i bought my VERY clean and Black MM from a member on here, thanks Jose, and I have offically put 1000 miles on her in a month... and in that time i have put on the following:
JLT Intake
DR tune xcal2
Tinted windows (limo throughout)
HIDs headlights and foglights
Proguard
New tires (same as original)
Tinted tails (just had them done today, from my truck painter)
and I have to say, this car amazes me more and more each day... I think this is the best car i have ever owned (besides my 90k prostreet silverado show truck, which i cant ever drive lol)
But i am in love with this car and I am so glad I bought it...
It is such a shame that this model is no longer in production, i cant imagine what the 2009 model would have been like...

Your right. My Marauder is also the best car I have ever owned. I have had more fun with it at the track, car shows and just taking the wife out to dinner in her. Gotta love it.:D

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday when I was out in my Marauder.
Enjoy the ride. What future mods do you have in mind?

He needs 4:10's, then after he gets tired of those it'll be time to spring for a blower.;)

do i really need 410's? I mean i do a lot of freeway driving as it is... and with gas prices... does it make that much of a difference??
and I was quoted $800 bucks from several different shops... thats a considerable investment... ok, maybe not considereable, but still...
as for future mods, i already own one go fast vehicle - a 10 second truck... there is no way i am super charging my MM... I may want to do a few suspension upgrades, just not sure what is the best bang for the buck...
Metco control arms and addco sway bars.

I love my Marauder also. If the Marauder was still made, it would have been nice to see options and upgrades. A factory blower option, etc. Let's call a current stock Marauder a base option. If advertised, I think it would sell (just as it was with no power/body changes) since most people wouldn't want to fork up the $ for the highest most powerful option anyway. But it would have been cool for those that want more power and have the $. For those that want better gas mileage, they should have the Crown Vic still as is but also options for a hybrid, lower power but better mileage, etc. to tote families around in again. I talked to a mechanic the other day that said he liked the bigger cars like I do, but he said they are still too gas guzzling. So he didn't buy the interceptor that he was looking at.

does addco make front and rear sway bars and are both needed? what do the metco arms do anyways? some insightful explanation would be helpful..
TIA!

4:10's and a tune will really wake the car up. Minimal impact on MPG. With the OD engaged, there's only a couple hundred rpm difference at 70 mph between the 3:55's and 4:10's, but that gets you up a bit higher into the powerband, so the car actually cruises better at highway speeds with 4:10's. I've been tracking my mileage since I bought mine, and ave. highway mileage is less than 1 mpg difference between "before" and "after" the gear swap.
Agreed, the swap isn't cheap, but IMO, worth it.

+1 ^^^^^ The MM does everything .... and it does it with style. It even makes the commute TO and FROM work almost bearable. Of course, coming home is much better than going in.

You say that now, but wait until you go for a ride in someones blown ride on here.
Now I know you can get gears installed for cheap if you look around. Once place on the south side *wink wink installed a posi and gears for me for $220. Other places wanted to charge me as much as $500 just for the gears!
Tell me about the 10 second truck!

the MM still rides fine with the 4.10's, highway is still fine, but I'm sure a few hundred rpm's less with 3.55's yields better mpg's.
Metco motorsports has the best CA's in the biz. they stiffen the rear end. and the car plants itself like it's on rails. Zack also makes some decent CA's , but I haven't seen them in person.
I would say get UD pullies, high flow cats, and megs resonator delete tips if you're not going the blower or 4.10 route. Maybe widened rims while you're at it.
I don't miss my 4.10's as of now and hopefully the MPG's will reflect it.
the rauder is still a fun car to drive.
