My newly purchased marauder had 67K on her. I am wanting to switch to synthetic oil. Should I? Is there any thing special I need to do to prevent problems? I want to run her with what she should have required from the get go.
Thanks
Tim

You should have no problems with synthetic. My favorite is Royal Purple 5w-20. If the previous owner used MotorCraft 5w-20 it is a semi synthetic and quite good. I'm sure RF Overlord, our resident oil expert will chime in here. :D
I just noticed we have the same car. Good choice! I just retired mine from daily driver status on Friday at 63k.

Switch away... you won't encounter any problems.

Tim, as the others indicated ^^^, there's no reason not to switch to synthetic oil, although there are a number of urban myths, such as:
"Once you switch, you can't go back" False.
"Synthetic oil will cause leaks." Wrong again.
Go ahead and switch whenever you want.
