The only kind I would use (but haven't yet) would be the kind that you "sew" on, so it won't slip. I think the only reason to do it would be to protect the stock leather from sun damage and wear. I ilike the stock one so much I haven't done anything, though.

I use one that I bought from the local auto parts store. www.ssinserts.com sells custom ones that will fit right the first time.

The only time I felt the need for those sew on covers was on the old 1980s and earlier super skinny plastic resin-over-steel steering wheels. The wheels that were so thin you felt like you were going to break them turning. Other than that.... I have never liked slip on covers, and they look sooooooo tacky.

I have a slip on, it matches the interior color atleast. It's not the nicest looking thing I agree but I feel it's protecting the leather from the UV rays. I actually kinda like hte extra diameter too...

I have one of those "tacky" ones.....I got it from Auto Zone....its a Ford Racing one..I like the feel of it....and it looks alright to me....

Yeah I like the extra diameter also. After driving Cheeseheadbob's car that had one on it I was sold on getting one. Can't believe I went so long without getting one before.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people like the old guy wheel covers, with an MM. LOL. Need some gold curb feelers
