View Full Version : Dreaded no start :(

Well,
finally got my car back from the paint shop and drove here around a little. Parked the car and she will not start?? Battery is brand new, starter is brand new. It happened to me just before I brought the car in and now she's not reliable enough for our trip back to South Carolina:mad:

I've tried other key's and looked to see what else I can find but don't see anything else. Guess she will have to get towed to the stealership. Any input on what I could look for before I call the tow truck would be great!

When you turn the key what does or/and doesnt happen?

All lights,wipers work. I don't have a clicking sound or anything. I can't boost it from another car and if I hold the key's in the on position long enough the doors lock then unlock!?

Try moving the shift lever to make sure it is in park.

Try starting it in neutral

Tried the neutral thing, moving the steering wheel. What are the odds the starter is bad?

Tell the car you love it and will never have it at the repair shop again...then try it :dunno:

Found out that the new starter had a bad solder on the ground! Replaced it with a new one and all is fine:D

What colour did you paint it?

Starting to have problems with mine not starting. Battery is good everything seems to work it just will not turn over. Took it to the dealership for an oil change about a month ago and it died on them as well. They fiddled with the fuel pump and it fired up now today it will not start again. Towed to the dealship and a new fuel pump is being installed ($725). Wish me luck.
