View Full Version : Haze on Wheels

Has anyone had a problem with a sort of haze showing up on the wheel clearcoat?

It appears on one spoke of two different wheels, in my case, and is like a severe clouding of the clearcoat.

What is worse  is that the previous owner obviously tried to remove it with a sharp object.

Anyone see this kind of haze on their wheels. If so, is there a safe fix? Can the wheels be re-clear-coated ... say while the Marauder is wearing its Winter Tire Package?

Thanks,
Paul in Detroit

Ahh, Winter Tires. Good man!!

Everything can be done, but it would be very expensive. You may want to try some polish for AL polished and anodized wheels first.
Not sure what's out there along those lines.

You can check on this website. They may have some info there.

Good luck!

I've noticed it also, dont know what to do about it though? I dont want to use a polish and take the clear coat off.

Zaino Z5 and/or Z18 should take care of it no problems, then just rewax the clearcoat. Done.

I have a bunch of little spider cracks on mine. I usually apply some Maguire's wax, you can't see 'em after that. Well, for at least a week or so.

I see it everytime i wash my marauder, i just apply a good coat od carnuba wax and they looks good as new and they are easier to clean since they have carnuba on them
