Any MMers located near Myrtle Beach, SC? I'm down here for R&R from knee surgery and would love to meet up with any Carolina MMers who might be nearby. I'm actually in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Occassionally, I see a SB MM go down my street, 5th Ave, South in North Myrtle Beach, but I rarely see another MM down here. HELP!!!!

There's a Blue that's owned by somebody up toward NMB, I've seen it a couple times when I've been down there.

We get down to MB over the Christmas holidays, if you're around then, maybe we can hook up.

Right now we have the DTR MM here with us.
Joan and I bring down the Blue MM most of the time and come down every Christmas. 2 years ago, I saw another Blue MM with Ontario, CA plates on it at Smokey Bones at Grand Coastal Mall. 2 Blues in one parking lot!
Don't make a special trip at Xmas, but if you get up this way, we can hook up! Thank you for the post!

How long you been down there? I saw another DTR parked on Ocean Dr in Garden City late last month. The only other one I saw was a Blk near Grand Costal Mall.

I've been down since June 20, first in the BLUE MM (until July 8) and then in the DTR since July 11th. We get around, but have not been south of AC Moore just below Market Common off Bypass 17.

I arrived on the 20th, but sorry did not see a DBP. We only made it up to NMB once, the night before we left, Barefoot lowered my bank account... We come down for the 4th week of June and now stay in Garden City.

Nice to hear from you. A late June meet wiould be nice if we are down here. My wife finished school about 20 June. Right now, I am convalescing from knee surgery which is why we are here so long this time. Have about 3 more weeks before we depart for Maryland.

GordonB--MB is a great place to be while resting........and it would be neat to have a meet there sometime....we must work on that some day and anyone else who wants to get in on the action........Ms M also had knee surgery--half,,back in earily March----know the rountine a bit......take care and may we meet some day......Tom

Barring some unforseen circumstance we'll be in Garden City the fourth week of June, 2009. A meet sounds great. Pick a place when it gets closer and we'll be there. Prob is if gas is outrageous we may not be using the DTR. :(

I would love to be able to live there year round at the beach. I'll be looking into whether its feasable when I retire in 2010, but I do not want to "have to work" when I retire. I also could not tolerate living in a small apartment full time. I suppose I could tolerate being a few blocks back from the beach :D

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but we are still in July 2008!
By next June, I'd like to think that we will have sold our house in Maryland, retired, and moved to NMB, SC and become permanent residents. Unfortunately, None of that has happened. But, we could start thinking about hooking up here by the end of June 2009, like the last week in June and the first week in July, just for planning purposes. Then, we can see how things develop from that point.
Might have one Red MM and one Blue car (our Vette) or then again, we might bring the Blue MM! I have one garage slot for the Vette and a 'shared' MM slot, but I have parking in our drive way, offstreet, for 5 other cars -- one even get partial 'porch' cover!
I understand, but have not made it yet, that Burky's Grill, about 39th Street North and North Kings Hwy (Business 17) in Myrtle Beach hosts a Cruise-In every Fri. eve 6-9pm.

As a side note Steve--Ms M and I along with the RED LINE BEAUTY will be in New Bern this weekend--at the Shearton on Middle street I believe----attending a property sell function --the type that put you up --treat you well and try to hold you up later--:lol:--but we'll decline and just enjoy the area features---

SO --If you see a RED Lined MM around---it'll be us.........
