As a member of both boards (and I know there are plenty of us) I wanted to post this for all MM.net members who may be interested in attending this event. FYI I have already posted info regarding MMVI in St. Louis on MCM.com as well.

Motor City Marauders
5th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise

The Motor City Marauders are hosting our 5th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise Event for 2008. We have secured parking in the same lot as last year, the BK lot across the street from Dugan's Irish Pub.

The Dream Cruise happens on Saturday, August 16, from dawn to dusk.

Space will be limited. We only have room for 30 Marauders this year, so do not delay. Spots will be awarded first pay first served basis. If all spots are taken, we will start a waiting list and try to get more spaces.

Come on out and enjoy the largest outdoor car show in the world!!

If you are attending with your Marauder, select "Dream Cruise Parking 2008" for $75. This includes your parking and registration for yourself. If you have additional adult guests, or if you are flying into town for the cruise and are not parking a car, you would select "additional attendee fee" for $15. Children are free.

Money is tight this year, so we are trying to work out details for goodies as we have done in past years such as dash plaques, Tshirts, Mugs, etc. Please watch out for additional updates. Here is to the 5th anniversary of the MCM on Woodward!

I might go, but no one wants me there.

So I'll just cruise by and wave.

OK, I'll take the blame for that..... I'm sure they'll thank me for it.

I find it interesting that this has been posted here for 9 days with no negative comments. That did not happen at .com with MV6 post. :shake:

Because this is a more mature audience here. With that said, I donated my spot at Woodward to Jobrian on the other site. He's a worker there that may not be able to afford to go, with recent bad news from the big three, and deserves to.

If you can go, it's worth the trip.
Michelle and I had planned on heading out there again, but the preps to the house and other arrangements have us home bound.

Hope there's one next year....

Well, it was not the posting about the event really, here's the thread if you want to read it:

The notice about the Woodward Dream Cruise was posted as a courtesy to the planners of that event. I have removed the links to other sites and threads because of the potentially embarrassing consequences of encouraging flame wars between other websites. There is no need to comment on the thread, and if you wish to attend the event there is plenty of information on the post as to how to go about it.
