Okay so what exactly did you do to get rid of the sqeak. Mine had gotten hard core and its driving me nuts.
Just give it a bath in white lithum? WD-40?

It's usually not the hinge(s). Try raising the front hood bumpers a turn or two. If that fixes it then put some grease on the hood bumpers after they are adjusted.

Felt disc on the hood where the adjuster rest, and WD the hood latch moving parts. Squeak will then be gone.

Do a search and you will find that people are ordering hood bumpers for the hood
Part number N804344 s from your Local Ford dealer:)

Bumpers help but it is the hood latch......grease it and see!!
About 2-1/2 years ago my hood latch developed the dreaded, random-frequency squeak/chirp. I lubed the contact points well with lithium---no squeaks ever since.

That'll be the best fix for the hood stops. With felt the stops or the hood wont get oily.

Liquid Graphite on the Hood Latch.
A dab of grease on the Hood Bump Stops.

Got rid of mine using the combination approach. Hood Isolators/Bumpers Ford Part Number -N804384-S (comes in a package of two for $8.40). , 1" felt pads under the hood where the bumpers contact, adjusted the hood stops, and wrapped the latch bar with tape and lubed.

I had the common problem, just raise your bump stops, close the hood, press on it alot to see if it squeaks, when it stops squeaking, drive it down a bumpy road for the final test.

Nope, it is NOT the hinges that are squeaking. Not on a Marauder anyway. Been awhile since I had a Marauder, but yes, mine had that infamous hood squeak too. I used to hear it the most when going over small bumps while driving slow through parking lots. I found that the real problem was BOTH the adjustable round front bumpers underneath the hood as well as the latch needed to be adjusted. Because if either the screw-in bumpers or the hood latch aren't adjusted correctly, the hood will always have vertical play in it when it's closed and can move up and down. You don't want that. Read along, and I'll explain to you how I fixed this for good, and once I did, I never had to lube or grease it again to stop the squeeks.....
Here's a good test: with the hood closed, stand in front of the car, and push down hard on top of the hood right in the front. The hood should NOT move up and down when you push down hard on it. If it does, then both your hood latch and the screw-in bumpers need to be adjusted.
In that case, first open the hood, and tighten both the left and right front adjuster knobs so that they're all the way down. Then adjust the hood latch to where it needs to be so that when the hood is closed, it doesn't look like it's sitting too high nor too low. The bolt holes in the hood latch bracket are slotted, so that once you loosen the bolts, you can adjust it up or down. This will take a few minutes of trial and error, and you might have to tighten the bolts several times to experiment, shutting the hood after each time to check your adjustments.
Step 2....
once you have the latch adjusted correctly, so that the hood meets the other body parts (fenders & nose ) evenly, now you can raise the two screw-in bumper adjusters to the highest height possible, while still being able to close the hood. When they're adjusted properly, you should have to put your weight into it to close the hood all the way. Once you're done with the adjustments, check the hood once again by first closing it completely, and pushing down hard with all your weight several times to make sure the hood does NOT move up or down at all once it's latched closed.
Step 3....
now that everything is correct, now screw the adjusters out (counterclockwise) 3 or 4 turns, but you must count EXACTLY how many turns out you turn them. 3 turns is all you need. Now put blue thread locker ("LOC-TITE" or equivalent) on the threads of the bumpers, and screw them both in EXACTLY the same number of turns that you loosened them before you put the LOC-TITE thread locker compound on them. Then put a small dab of white lithium grease on the rubber top of each bumper, and you're done. You will never have that squeaker again. ;) This is how I did it on my Marauder when I owned it, and it never made noise again.
