It's time to vent. Yesterday I took the MM to the dealer to fix an A/C rattle, subwoofer deck rattle, estimate Eibach install and change the oil. They didn't fix any of the noises, supposedly the stereo guy and the trim guy couldn't find them. I mentioned several times avbout the kick out panel in the deck that wasn't removed on early MM's.
The estimate for springs was 3 hours + 1 hour each side if it needed camber(or caster, whatever) bushings = $300-500 plus $70 for an alignment the dealer doesn't even have the equipment to perform.
Fortunately, the service advisor was commenting how well kept the paint job was on our pre-work walk around, not a single scratch.
Now, scratches:
Drivers front quarter panel
Drivers door
Front passenger door
Rear passenger door
Rear passenger quarter panel
trunk lid on top and back
I made them give me a written statement that they will cover the repair when I can bring it in next week. I need to decide if I want this sloppy dealership painting on my new car.
This sucks!

Next time you need dealer service drive up here to Dallas and go to Eagle L/M. It's Logan's dealer and they understand our Marauders.

Sinister,
you went to Pavilion north on 183??
I'm going to try Leif Johnson Ford on Koenig. They are an SVT and FRPP dealer, so I hope they'll appreciate the Marauder.

Forgot to mention one more thing.
I got a speeding ticket going to the dealer to show them the damage. Punched it with a police bike in the rear view mirror (shoulda looked first), was doing 90 in a 65. In Texas that's wreckless driving, go to jail. Very nice yes sir police man ticketed me for 75.
That actually made me calm down before approaching service rep. Wifey was very impressed that I gathered my cool, all things considered.

No when the local Ford dealer scratched my wheels(all 4) they gave me the ol' "we'll have them repaired and you'll love em" story.
I held firm and now have 4 new wheels.
Do not let them put a buffer of any kind to your paint. The clear coat is not thick enough to buff.

Unless you want to drive about 200 miles south the group won't be that close.

Sinister,
Man I know exactly how you feel. I took my MM up to the dealer for hesitation etc. and they did the same thing to mine. Scratches all over the car, especially the front cap area and drivers side from the rear door up. I didn't see them though until I got home and pulled into the garage under the flourescent lights.
Went right back to the dealer but they of course denied doing it.
I did get them to agree to detail the car which looked pretty good until I washed it and then the scratches came back.
Finally my son and I worked for several days with a Macquires 3 step waxing system that got mine to look much better than when I got it from the dealer.
I made the mistake of not doing the walk around but won't do that again. I hate to take mine to the dealer for anything as every time I do its worse than before.
If you could get a paint job more power to ya :bows: but I sure wouldn't let them do it.
Good luck to ya and let us all know what happens.

FWIW: The best paint job I EVER got on a car is when I called the local Lexus dealer and asked them "where do you send your cars for repair?" and took my Toyota there for work. Flawless!

I'm sorry to hear about the damage that dealer did to your
MM . I'd take it to a professional auto paint & body shop , have
them fix up the scratches and present the bill to the dealership
for there workers lack of caring . :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :uzi:
I have had great luck with Cadillac body shops. I've had body work done on several cars at Caddy dealers, and I have always been really impressed.
