"RECOMMENDED OIL FOR TRILOGY TWIN SCREW SUPERCHARGER!!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The process for adding oil to your Trilogy Twin Screw Supercharger :
1. Use 50 wt. oil. I purchased Kendall Oil, Lidio uses Redline Oil or I'm sure any good synthetic oil will be acceptable. But, use 50 wt. without any detergents.
2. There is a foil fill level opening fitting on the front of the supercharger to the left of the pulley snout. Remove that fitting. Then remove the fitting on the top of the supercharger casing, on the top left side, to fill the gear set casing with oil.
3. Fill the oil in the top left side opening until the oil appears on the front filler fitting opening to the left of the pulley snout. Do not over fill. It should take about 3-4 oz. to fill. I will test this by the end of the day on the superchargers we have not shipped.
In the future, we will fill ALL superchargers with oil before they leave our facility and they will be ready to install directly out of the box.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Like I mentioned earlier, Dennis Watts car had an failure earlier in the week. Trilogy #2 had a failure last week and we did not know the cause of the problem. Lidio called this morning and said he notice no oil in the superchargers he was installing. Thank you Lidio!! He mentioned that the Whipple superchargers also had to have the oil installed when you install the supercharger. It was not done at the factory.
The EATON units we have been selling for the last several years come with oil in them and they encourage us not to tamper with them from the factory. They have a marking on the fitting to show if anyone has remove the oil fill fitting. It is part of their warranty. We did not know or was it mentioned from Lysholm that WE needed to supply the oil for the casing.
Regardless of how it happened, we will stand behind our products and replace any defective superchargers without question.
Once again, I am very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and we will do whatever is necessary to make our Customers satisfied with their purchase.
Dennis can send me his expenses and I will reimburse him for his costs.
Thank you,
Jerry Barnes"
