I'm confused about this. After getting some part numbers from gdmjoe for a new power lock switch for the drivers door ( pain in the ass these lights in these switches), I called a few local dealers for some prices. Every one of them needed the VIN because there where 2 different switches for these cars. Mine is a 300A now and had an 04. They look identical to me in both cars. Where is the difference? Just curious what this is all about.

T'is true there are two part #s - one for keyless entry (which you would have) and one for non-keyless entry.
The provided part # should be good-to-go.
Want a co$t ..... 5L1Z-14028-BB (https://www.tituswillfordparts.com/cart/?pn=5L1Z-14028-BB) <<<<< -click-
BTW ... the other part # is 3W7Z-14028-AAB / AA (right / left).

No need to replace the switch because of the backlighting. Just re-solder the LEDs.

I had to have mine replaced twice because the 2nd one didn't light up at all.

If thats the reason, why they would ask then is odd. All MM had keyless entry. Anyways thanks guys, picked one up today from a Ford dealer by work for 20 bucks, hope it works.;)
