stereo upgrade questions... please help

Ok, i have an 03 300a... stereo is completely stock with the POS factory sub...

I recent purchased a Polk audio SR DVC 10" sub with a Polk audio MOMO amp 500.1 mono class D to run said sub...

I want to disconnect my current factory sub... is that ok? I have a line leve converter with RCA's should I pull the factory stereo out to get the inputs for the amp or is there some where else i can pull the input that is easier than pulling the radio out?

is there any other useful information I should know?? please i want this to be done right... and sound kick ass... I am building a 1 Cu ft box where the spare tire goes... which way should the sub fire? towards the front? Rear? left? right? Up? Down?

Fire to the rear. A 1-1.5 cuft box fits next to the spare where the factory sub comes out - if you build it right. And you can get your signal from the factory sub signal. NO LLC NEEDED!

is the "amp" attached to the sub? and if so does it need to be relocated, if not, where is the factory amp? does the amp power only the sub or the entire system?

total noob here.... TIA

anyone have any pictures of the sub in or out that i can reference?

By the way, yes it only powers the subwoofer, the radio does the other speakers.
